Nobody knows how much will cost btc. That's reason why factom could cost 0.00025 btc.

They care about the use of Factom. The more it will be used the more Entry Credits will be bought. The more EC's are bought, the more Factoids are burned through conversion into EC's. The more Factoids are burned, the higher the price needs to be. Conclusion: As long as they care about the system and the business-side (those who will use it), they care about the price.

To start using factom you need to know about factom. It also is advertising.

Marketing for the Factoid-market would hurt their credibility since it would give the impression as if they would want to make money by selling Factoids.

I'm disagree with it.

For short-term it could be true. But if you look back into end of 2013. While Bitcoin was still on the rise, others also started to rise (litecoin for example) and started to explode once Bitcoin came down. Litecoin went up from $1 to over $30.


I don't say "safe bet". Nothing is a safe bet. But in comparison to the uncertainty about the ETF and the scaling-problem and blocksize-war, nobody but ETF-Insiders can now what will happen next. And if the ETF should be approved and Bitcoin would hype, it's safe to say that the mempool will explode with the price. The next drama is a safe prediction.

In comparison with Bitcoin, and if we don't focus on short-term-reactions on the market but midterm and longterm, I consider Factom as a much safer and better Investment while Bitcoin feels more like playing roulette.

Litecoin cost 48$ per coin. I'm very intrested in when the buyers will be able to sell it for 48$. Factom now costs 0.0025 btc. What if here's be the same thing?

It's bitcoin ETF and manipulative increase of bitcoin. You could see that all alts lost in the price and aren't increasing now. Look at the price of btc right now!!!

Exodus wallet might cause people withdraw their Factom from Polo since margin lending rate s shit. This, in turn, would make life for speculators and margin traders much more difficult. It would be much harder for them to access cheap Factom and short their positions.

Would this affect the price? Probably not much.

What else can affect the price? As in other markets where securities re being traded. Some new deal or some new product which would be PROPERLY support by some kind of world class marketing.

This would rise people expectations and increase demand and price.

Can Factom do this? Yes, I m sure they can and I m also sure they will.

You can't know it and that is true for all ETF's - and that's why it makes no sense to claim it would be "absolutely clear" that the price can't grow much. Even with approval it would not be clear how FCT will react because approval of the ETF would absolutely not be bad for Factom but the other way around. Not directly but everything what is good for Bitcoin is also good for Factom.

And you also don't know anything about Factom's side. Is it possible that they will come out with an announcement with price-impact? We can't know it, but the past shows that it's always a possibility. Additionally there will be Exodus and it's likely that the M2-troubles are near to over now etc.

3) Timing - Bitcoin is rising since over 1 year now. It's not easy for any project to make big moves against that. But Factom did.

4) The last two months: The M2-rollout was not very smooth, more the opposite. But the problems seem to be under control now and it's just a question of time that it's complete.

I agree with everything besides point number 2. You say "attention is absolutely increasing". You base that on what?

If you look on reddit-stats or on the increase of Twitter Follower or how many are on slack now while this thread was nearly like a private meeting of a few people. It's much more now than some months ago.
