Well I did have communications with a few big tech journalists but nothing came of it, nothing I could do about that.  But these things are not a science, they get a lot of requests for articles per day..  What we need to show them is that there are people interested in BritCoin and want to spread the word.  So when you get a chance email them, it's for everyone's benefit.

I'm trying to get in contact with altcoin payment gateway services today, if has any suggestions please let me know.  I've tried a few over the past months/weeks but nothing has come of it, but there are new payment gateways being launched all the time so we'll get there eventually.

Nothing big, we're going to be doing a UI change to the wallet, but as far as anything ground breaking, no.  We have a great network and now our concern now is to find merchants (payment gateway needed first) and spread awareness.  We only released our version 2.0.0.0 Tor wallet a couple of weeks ago, so developments are still going on, but we've switched our focus to other things now.

Seems like our Tor node went offline overnight, everything's back to normal now and your wallet should synch fine!

Your coins have to be in your BritCoin wallet (Windows/OSX/Linux) and unlocked for you you recieve your 5% annual interest, and yes I think 1m is 5% of total Brits.   Well done to you, you have a lot more than me lol

Yea the price is fluctuating like mad dog, back to 200 today.

The Bittrex's Brit wallets are not unlocked and staking, so they do not receive the 5% annual interest.  This is done mainly due to security reasons and the fact it would be very difficult to keep track of the different stake payments from each wallet.  Bittrex also store coins offline in 'cold storage' for extra security, how many of the total coins I have no idea.

That's strange, your calculations were right and you should get 171~ BritCoins per day.  Remember that your wallet has to be unlocked and online to recieve your 5% stake interest, coins also have to be staked' for 12 hours before you will receive anything too.

So leave your wallet open, online and unlocked for 24 hours and see what happens, if you still aren't getting the right amount I will look in to it.

There seems to be nothing I can buy for britcoins ... and that is killing.
I am not brittish, I am from the Netherlands, but I think there has to be internetshops who accept Britcoins, the job for the founders is to find those shops.

Agreed but I think the utility will come when there are enough people that have BRIT right now it's just a small number.  I think the general state of the alt market means that people are holding off on investing in new coins.  It's kind of a catch-22.  More people will only invest if there's some utility, utility will only come if there are more people using it/holding it.  Right now I don't think people see any reason to invest in anything beyond Bitcoin.  As long as the Britcoin team sticks to their guns and keep supporting it then hopefully people will start to trust that it will have a long term future.

Anyway if anyone want's to get involved with MANA whilst we wait for something to happen please get in touch.  It may never amount to anything but it is at least different to the vast majority of alt coins and I'm sticking with it long term whatever happens.

We have virtually no volume and let's face it, price matters. Brand matters as well, SLG won out because they were better than our current developer. We may need to rebrand the coin as something new, so start brainstorming ideas. William can either step up to the plate and prove himself, find new development team members, or we find a new developer/development team. We need a team, not a 1 man army developing the coin. We also need amrketing or were lost in a sea of other coins.

Whatever the case, the coin will die without some emergency action.

Yea I agree that I have not been stepping up to the plate recently, which is no ones fault but mine.  I'm in the process of finding some to take over this project and move things forward.  I will announce in the next few days what's going on, but rest assure that Brit is not finished yet.

I think personally that 300 till 500 satoshi is normal, now it is around 30% of that, even small investing can let rise Britcoin to 500 satoshi

barabbas, BritCoin is only 6 months old and if you think it's finished you're a fool.  As I've mentioned I just don't have the funds or time to be leading BritCoin, so this is in the best interest of the coin.  The new owner will have a great base to start from and will be able to get things moving again, if you think that's a bad thing then you need to get your head checked.

I'm going to ignore the rest of your post since it's BS.  But to clear up one thing, just because your BritCoins may be worth less than what you bought them for doesn't mean anyone was scammed, investing in crypto is risky and if you really don't believe in the long term goals of BritCoin then you shouldn't have bought in the first place.

Well he also dumped approximately 400k britcoins while price was at 600 sat. Plus the $500 USD someone is paying for britcoin on the auction. He made/is making a nice profit off britcoin.

Edit: He also refused to show me txids and addresses he used and wont show proof he didn't dump.

Edit2: When he was gone from ann and irc channel he came back 2 weeks later saying it was because his sister had a baby. He was talking and active in the pandacoinpnd channel. So why can you talk in 1 channel but not the channel for the coin you made?

I am about to buy a further 85000 Britcoins from Bittrex which wil take my stake up to 200,000 which is a substantial stake.

I would be grateful if more members of the Britcoin community can come together to take ownership of Britcoin to ensure its future is continued, an official statement by the original / current developer would be good.

It would be best to make progress in a friendly and professional manner as soon as possible to ensure the future investment of stakeholders is retained.
