Yeah I am phasing out miners with a draw north of 1000w, in my experience that is the threshold which leads to fire. I have had the lower wattage miners burn up, but never with a resulting flame. Shrink the mine down to 20TH and hold, expansion with current return and specs on gen 3 just does not make sense. 

not sure how thats really the problem - power density is a greater issue than overall power. SP3x draws >2800W but is extremely reliable. KNC draws 300W/box and caused dozens of fires (generally all related to wiring though)

was the SP10 running at full specs still (1200W/1400GH) or was it undervolted (770W/1000GH)

I was operating on the assumption that the SP10 was reliable as well. It was running @ 1kW/1200GH, 80% fan.

She is heading back to SP-T, I hope they are able to discern the cause. Make the MEGA mines safer....
