I really got to wondering what the alt section of btctalk would be like if it was a real place?
would it be like high school? with cliques of pump groups walking around all blindly following there leader? or is it more like a salem witch trial kinda vibe? please i would love to hear everyones take on it...
we all know it wouldnt be pretty, thats forsure...
I imagine that the bitcoin dev forum is more like a meeting room in some high-scale British manor with everyone standing around in smoking jackets sipping brandy...

I'm thinking those and other groups like the jocks and preps, and goths. IE sha256 guys rig sigs guys and pos guys. |

some guy with a walmart suit and gel-saturated hair trying to sell you a timeshare
he offers to shake your hand, and you reluctantly reach out
his hands are greasy and sweaty but you're too polite to say anything
he puts a fake smile on his face and hands you a pile of flyers and brochures
you can go on vacation with your family, he says
while he has no family
or time for vacation
he gets home back to his old apartment with the broken tabletop, more flyers and brochures on top of months-old unpaid bills
he thinks back on his life
he regrets dropping out of high school
why did he listen to those idiots?
why was he so naive?
he opens facebook on his intel atom thinkpad laptop and scrolls through all the statuses of his old high school friends
when was the last time he even talked to jeff?
why didn't jenna invite him to her wedding? they used to be the best of friends
he could have been living the american dream by now
paying a mortgage on his home
owning a new Lexus
taking his kids to the mall
if only
he hadn't
bought altcoins

Haha. I imagine this but instead of being a man there's a bunch of them and they're all little kids in oversized suits that don't fit them properly and they're just hysterically crying and shouting over each other.  Your average alt coin traders. |
