Backup lockbox needed?

Hi!

What to do if I lose the lockbox definition?
Can I recreate a lockbox using only the public keys from the wallets?

I understand that the lockbox definition can be public but I cannot find any information about the necessity of backups.

Put on other words, do I need to backup the lockbox definition?
