no porn? are you kidding me? internet would be useless  Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa now.. That is what your main harddrive is for. Your secondary harddrive shouldn't even be googling anything. You really should have a separate computer that you use to keep your bitcoin (private keys) on then your "main" computer that you use for porn (and email, traditional banking, social media, surfing the internet, ect) even if the bitcoin (private keys) is intended to be your "hot wallet" |

I guess the only way to keep coins safe is using a Boot CD/DVD, on a machine that has no other permanent storage, and then keep the password protected hot wallet on a USB stick or other removeable media.
Then only use that machine for crypto currency transactions but NOTHING ELSE. This will almost guarantee a virus free machine. Even better would be air gap techniques but I suppose that means more effort.
Any machine with access to the web, and permanent storage, is almost guaranteed to catch malware sooner or later.

10% chance it was a true hacker
30% chance it was done by a script kiddie using a keyboard logging trojan that the victim naively downloaded
30% chance it was a 'btc generator' scam hiding a keyboard logging trojan that the victim naively downloaded
30% chance he put funds into an online service which has a less than ideal reputation
I just know if the keyboard logging trojan can make losing BTC in offline wallet. however, this time I just use an online wallet, call it blockhain. and always safe for me. perhaps they were stolen just unlucky |

We need more information, like where were your bitcoins kept? Did you share a password anywhere else? I was also a recent victim of a bitcoin hack to the tune of 2 bitcoins. I know how it feels.  i kept it on my computer, the password was knew noly myself. yes , fell sad for the lost Although the number is not much. |

Search cold storage on here for many ways to store a lot of coins.
If you had your bitcoins on your computer using a bitcoin client with an encrypted (password protected) wallet then the main way to get that is a key logger. There's not much you can do if your computer is that infested.
i know that i should search cold storage to store a lot of coin. but for the small amount of coins, Before, I think no one will take care of it,But now it seems I was wrong. |

As was stated above, look up cold storage, that is what you want. the wallet: i download it from the forum, Bitcoin Core version 0.9.3 ,my computer system: WINDOW 7 when it was updating the new block date i left,when i came back,it completed the updated,the same time ,the coins was transfered. |

Since you haven't specified the wallet you used and how you lost your bitcoin, I can only give you some general suggestions. Scan your computer for malware now. Don't download or run suspicious program. Don't click links in emails. Enable 2FA if you are using a web wallet. thank you ,i now Storage all my coins on the exchange,like:OKCOIN. i don't want to update the large number of blocks data. |
