Hi lulu2003,

It is more likely that your network is not stable when connecting at antpool server.

p2p from bitmain is not really working actually
so if you want to use p2p pick a node near you from http://p2pool-nodes.info/
just use your BTC address as username

this one is mine: 78.46.88.136:9332 located in EU with 0% fee

p2pool rocks Grin

How is antpool "pushing forward DEcentralization"? It seems to me they are wanting centralized mining on their farm, no? Or, is this another marketing slogan to trick people into pointing their miners to the pool???

You got it right on.  Antpool is NOT p2pool, nor is it decentralized.  Whether Bitmain intended to join p2pool but couldn't get it working, or if this was their intent all along, I don't know.  But either way, they have yet to fess up that what they saying is not true.

100% agreed, time for a thread title change Bitmain, you have done the exact opposite of what you have claimed.

AntPool is currently 1% away from being the LARGEST CENTRALIZED MINING POOL on the network.

AntPool is currently 1% away from being the LARGEST CENTRALIZED MINING POOL on the network.

Indeed, as I originally warned:

If this is a totally separate p2pool like network but miners connect to Bitmain's servers only to mine on it, then they get the worst of all worlds: They get the increased work loss of frequent restarts, they get the high diff shares that will prevent them getting paid consistently unless they have very large hashrates, and there is no actual decentralisation since they'll be mining at a centralised pool created by bitmain that just happens to use the p2pool code for its backend but isn't really p2peer.

If all of the above is true, then bitmain has tried to cash in on the decentralisation concept by paying homage to the idea using p2pool without actually understanding it.

Fail.

Hello,

My guess is that a cronjob hasn't ran or something.

Cheers
