What was disappointing was while Antpool spent weeks trying to figure things out with DD4BC some other sites being attacked mitigated in the course of a few hours, that includes at least one pool I know of.. I wonder what the caliber of the network engineers are, hope they addressed the skills gap they had..

I don't think this is fair to say.  I think they were being shot a lot of traffic for the DDOS.  And the attacker kept was hoping if he kept doing it they would pay up.  He even went to forums here when he was desperate.

Could it have been handled better? Maybe.  But in the end now it's a stronger and better pool, and they did not have to sink to level of paying attacker.

I have 4 antminer's S5 pointed to Bitmain Pool for about 2-3 hours (i switch back to antpool today because of the unstable connection after the ddos atacks)

I'm using this stratum servers :

Quote
stratum+tcp://stratum.antpool.com:3333
stratum+tcp://solo.antpool.com:25
stratum+tcp://solo.antpool.com:3333

it’s stable at this moment from BG EU

Anyone else having trouble getting to either bitmain.com or antpool.com right now?  I can't get their pages to load.

My miners seem to be mining there ok, but I was wanting to check the luck stats.

I'll give this pool a try.  Daily payouts are the main reason along with 0 fees.  Or am I misunderstanding their advertising?

I received my U3's today and CGminer cannot seem to find them. I switched the driver to the WinUSB diver. They show in device manager. Do we need to add anything to the command line to get them to be recognized? Before I switched the driver to the WinUSB driver CGMiner warned me that I needed to do that. Now it simply says it can't find them. I am using version 4.9.1

Try cgminer 4.9.0. Apparently I screwed something up and the U3s don't work for some people in the latest version.

nice luck for this block.

how is it possible???

Really really good luck is how it happened.  5 seconds to solve a block is a heck of a nice round to have for a pool.

You will not see luck like this often.
