Removed their listing from the Bitcoin wiki (jimmothy had done so previously, triggering a very short edit war - we'll see how this plays out).
Just to update on this - they eventually
re-added their listing with a request not to remove it again in the edit summary.
I removed it again and pointed to the wiki page's
Discussion page where they could engage in any meaningful communication to defuse the concerns people had about their business.
Instead they reinstated their listing and
asked me to contact them in private to explain to them exactly what concerns they had to address. As those were already previously written, and I had no interest in taking things away from public scrutiny, I added a section to the wiki page's Discussion page that
explains in detail why a hardware listing may have been removed (and how to stop that from happening), and
asked them to review that - and rehashed some points from this thread.
At the same time, I asked one of the participants in this thread if they ever received any further information from them, and they had not.
A while later, the
Discussion page's section on Achilles Labs was deleted by them - however, they did not bother to re-add their hardware.
To me, that just adds to the pile of concerns, as it makes it look like they just don't want said concerns to be public and relatively visible in the wiki page's Discussion. I may revisit that at a later time. For now, anybody who looks them up should at least be able to find this thread, and not be led astray via the wiki.
Caveat emptor.
