Can someone help me understand the mentality of those that would seek to maintain the price/value of bitcoins arbitrarily low or to keep it's current price from continually creeping up?

I understand if someone wants to stall to buy more or get cash into the market, but what about everyone else, why wouldn't you want your coins to be worth more?

Also, gibe coins i report yuo

To avoid the bubble is a good and easy guess. for it they don't stall and it bubbled fast it could and would probably drop lower

Pretty much this. A controlled burn is way better than an explosion if your goal is to have appreciation and stability.

it seems such a short while ago we were pushing to break the all-time high. Now there's 21k in bids above it.

There is a 1197 coins for sell at 27 (I was looking at euros), so i think is a good wall.

http://bitcoin.clarkmoody.com/

$35 is probably a good wall. more should be built there may last short term 5 days I'm guessing

$35 is not a good spot, a pullback from resistance there would like a false breakout above $32. It should go high enough that it can pullback and bounce off $32.

This thread is way over posted. Collapse imminent. This is a good opportunity for a competing thread to gain some ground.

Well, fiscal cliff is in the news, too, so I would guess there are also a bunch of dollars flowing in.

time to buy next stop 40 USD

Come on bears, don't let this rise too high too fast !
they already sold everything trying to keep it under 32.

what was the sell off yesterday? half a million usd? the market gave 0 cares

It was a guy who bought 19k at $5, the day before he was asking how to liquidate 19k on btc-e chat, people told them "slow" small quantities, he did not get it, he was very anxious to sell them all.
