I'm so scared of the coming correction.  Undecided

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

... I'm just mentally preparing for the whole project to get set back another couple years.
I'm sorry Proudhon but I seem to have got into the habit when I read your posts of hearing them in Marvin's voice from the BBC's Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy!

Very close.  I sound like this, though.

Wait until people with really deep pockets get involved. $10 million per day could easily flood into this market - absorbing the number being mined.

I think that would scare the bejesus out of some of these people!

Why would this scare people? it would make those firm believers of bitcoin extremely wealthy men/women and those who sat around trying to bring the price down to get in cheaper get what they deserve....DUST!!,

bring on the money and buy up the bitcoins, we could be on a ride/people project that may be as valuable as google/apple shares,

Why? I don't know. Apparently they firmly believe past performance is indicative of future results.

Look at the threads! "Pump and Dump ?" "Angry, Festering RSI" "is it time to sell?" "When are you going to cash out?" "Where do you think we are in the bubble?"

People are already scared. It's like they've been trained to be scared. Look at proudhon, he is literally shaking in his boots!

Super scared. I am scared too. I sell a little to feel better. lol

These are the people that don't understand basic mathematics.

It's cool though, cheaper coins for new adopters.

people are stupid

if you are so worried about the price spiking down you probably have to much of your own money invested into bitcoin or bought in at a shitty price / day trading badly,

while im not going to rule out completely the fact that there was a spike downwards in a similar situation 1 year ago the number of people involved are completely different, just like any science experiment a control is changed meaning that many different variables should also be accounted for,

bitcoin is a project and should be viewed as such, there was a small sell off recently but the market recouped very quickly and shot upwards meaning some big player lost money in that situation,

if a 50K sell off that fails doesnt send a message to other big players to not do the same then not sure what else will, give them the rope and let them hang themselves

How many shares does apple have?
Answer:
Apple has a total of 900.68 million shares outstanding with 893.92 million floating shares.

ok ? how long has apple been in existence in comparison to BTC, never did I say they were alike, I said that the price could be relative in the future, Maybe,

You realize apple/google didnt IPO at 200-400 whatever they are at now? right?

don't know what floating shares are

but say right now bitcoin is 100th of apple in terms of demand to own and we have an equivalent price of $470 per bitcoin (one hundredth of 900 million is 9 million roughly equal to 10.7 mil bitcoins available)

GBP has moved a fair bit today but the Brits seem reluctant to take it to £15. Maybe because it just feels to soon since we hit £14!  I think the USD is going to need to pass the $24 mark and a bit before the confidence will be in place to venture over £15.

are share available for trading, most of the time in the Market Maker hands (over 1500 )

Please, don't be afraid of corrections. There will always be people scared of the price, selling in panic. But as long as the fundamentals of Bitcoin don't change, there is absolutely no reason to sell. The only thing you're going to achieve is that you'll end up buying your bitcoins back at a higher price than you sold them at and MtGox earning lots of fees from you.

The only thing that should matter is the news coming from this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0 or this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0

IF there were a big player out there who had knowledge of big news coming for Bitcoin, or more importantly, the ability to create such news, what would that player's accumulation of BTC look like?

It's my opinion it would look very much like what's happening right now. A fairly steady rise in the price like we're seeing gives people the opportunity to sell at pretty much every level on the way up, so such a player knows he's not paying more than he has to.

Is this what's happening now? No way to know, for the moment.
