IF there were a big player out there who had knowledge of big news coming for Bitcoin, or more importantly, the ability to create such news, what would that player's accumulation of BTC look like?

It's my opinion it would look very much like what's happening right now. A fairly steady rise in the price like we're seeing gives people the opportunity to sell at pretty much every level on the way up, so such a player knows he's not paying more than he has to.

Is this what's happening now? No way to know, for the moment.

I think that's quite likely

Hmm. How about "Tyler Durden" and crew at zerohedge. If/when  we see lots of bullish write-ups appear on that site - then it might signify their initial holding is complete...

Next stop - 24.8$ I guess...

I see that this whole rally made quite few old BTC speculators suprised (me too, sold 1/2 at 21.3$) ...
Recovery from dumps is so fast that there's no time to take at least minimal profit.
Then you just watch price go up and cry, with hope for some dump, to take 0% profit.
But no - there's dump to the wrong side!

That large spike is at December 13 (shortly after the halving) of last year, since then there has been much greater growth per day.

I put a sell order around 25$ and a buy order around 20.5$ for 5% of my coins, hoping to catch a correction.  We'll see how it works out.  Maybe the market is now so used to a short-term correction after such a rise that it won't happen. If it keeps rising I am still a happy man because it's only a very small amount, which I bought around 20$ for short term trading.

Someone managed to get a dump of about 8k volume going last Friday, yet the price down-move could not even penetrate $22.0, if you consider the double trading fees, the maximum profit you could get would be no more than $0.4/BTC, and that's how pathetic the dumps have become.

when i saw that huge wall at $21 or whatever it was, I spent all my available money in mtgox (a whole $200 or so) and bought at $20.20

i sold at $23

which after commissions (i still pay .55%), means that i earned myself a robust meal at burger king
