I'm sorry, but which ticker are you looking at? Bitcoinity for me is reading $89. I hope you are right, of course. I'd hate to wake up to find it at $60/btc.

Thinking about cashing out for the weekend. Thoughts?

Hold through tomorrow morning at least. The last few days there has been a rise every morning when Europe opens. And since they mostly are cashing in a different currency it could push the price up through $100.

It's a trap, people know people are thinking the long weekend will slow it down.  Sunday morning will be an ATH.

Don't.  You'll just be buying back higher by Sunday at best

If you think that bitcoin can get more publicity in the near term, hold.
If you think that we are at the peak of media attention, sell.
Or do as I did, sell what you can't afford to lose, keep the rest long term.

I doubt BitcoinTip is serious; he seems to just like the attention his words get him.  But if anyone wants me to escrow a bet, I'll do it for free.

So if you want me to do this, please PM me.  I'm likely to miss posts in this thread because there are so many of them.

Are we into the Cryptocurrency Wars now? Litecoin advocates tryna step up?

Look closely between 3PM and 7:30PM...

someone(people) knew...

may be a good indicator of imminent corrections going forward.

Yeah I'm thinking the Litecoiners are trying to orchestrate selloffs to boost Litecoin's value. They've been very aggressive on /r/Bitcoin recently. They must include some early Bitcoin adopters who are envious that they weren't the super-early adopters, so they may still have a ton of Bitcoin to play with.

This is a possibility.  Anyone who tries to "promote" litecoins are either stupid or trying to take advantage of stupid people.  There is no other type.

Lol! Why the hate? You don't like crypto coins?  Smiley

LTC is awesome for when BTC gets forked, or has no block for 1.5 hours.

I see since the pirate ship has sailed you have been very active in LTC.

For those of you who do not know, Goat here operated a pass-through service for one of the largest bitcoin ponzi schemes in the communities history. Since its collapse he's been very active in the promotion of LTC. He's just looking for suckers, don't be one of them.

LTC is a ponzi/scam! Save your BTC as it is the true and only pure cryto coin!  Wink

And yes my involvement with Pirate/Theymos/Nefario is very well known. However that relates to

 LTC is lulz at best.

LTC is not a ponzi scheme. Its simply redundant.

The way this relates friends, is that goat would fleece you in a hot second and LTC is his current vehicle of doing so.

And now for some more bullish news.

You've all probably noticed the forum yesterday broke it's 2011 records of most active users online:
Quote
Most Online Ever: 4824 (March 28, 2013, 10:20:50 PM)

Also, it's doing quite well on Twitter:
http://analytics.topsy.com/?q=bitcoin

But the real slammer is that we finally broke through the Google Trends record of June 2011:
http://www.google.com/trends/explore?#q=bitcoin&date=1%2F2011%2027m&cmpt=q

Thanks for sharing this btw.

Also, I have absolutely no information besides a lot of wishful thinking on my behalf, but the chart looks like it's going to explode any time now.

I was thinking this too, I also think once we break 100 it might be 150 before we slow down. I just kinda think once we break 100 it will just pop.

Agreed, that is not unlikely. As they said on QZ, Bitcoin is experiencing a demand crisis. As the price continues to climb upwards, more people are willing to invest more money in it. It's like a turbo on an engine, it will continue to accelerate as long as there is enough fuel in the tank.

Bitcoin is getting a lot of attention at the moment but these things don't last forever.

Do you think Bitcoin will be such a hot topic in 1 month? How about 2 months? I don't think it will and the price will reflect this.

I agree with Gavins prediction he made all the way back in July 2010.

Bitcoin will get mentioned someplace with lots of readers, a bunch of those readers will like the idea and try to buy Bitcoins, their price will rise which will draw even more people to "invest", which will drive the price up even more... until people decide that the price isn't going to rise any more and everybody rushes to sell before the price drops.  I predict there will be between one and five Bitcoin bubbles (price will double or more and then crash back down below the starting price) in the next four years .

He posted that before even the 2011 bubble.

I would call this bubble #2, so there are between 0 and 3 more to go Grin

As for numbers; I think this bubble has already reached it's peak and the next will reach $250, after that $500, etc. At least doubling, maybe even tripling each time.
