Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Looks like the 179.99 and 180 wall came down quick.
Now a bot is putting up a lot of .02 bids?

Thanks for posting that Smiley I went to the url and watched it for a few minutes and then plugged in my headphones and a block was solved at just the same time. Awesome sound! This is just the sort of thing I want in the background while I read about Bitcoin.

We need to put this bot attack on blast! Its one thing to have a bot .. thats fine.. but a bot used to ensue panic ...    errr

Er, no thanks.  Please take your statist, some wise man knows best ideas elsewhere. Bitcoin is a free market, long may it remain so.

It has been saying that for almost 2 days now. Not sure why, since other sites are working.

Would have hardly worth the time anyway, I'm sure 90% of them is "get me out of this place! I want my Mom!"  Wink

The remaining 10% something like, "Goxxed again... so what's new?"

Seriously, is it true that Gox has only just heard of the SSD?

Some bull talk from earlier:

We will see a crash to $120 soon, maybe in early May.

I don't know if this was a typo, but I'll glady take a crash up to $120 in two months.

Somehow I dont think we will be waiting two months for $120 to happen.

How quickly we adapt.
