MtGox has effectively disabled these spam bots.
There's a 6 order per minute limit, if that is reached there's a 120 second timeout.
Once they did this things started moving.
I read it in IRC as it went live.

When did that happen?

BTC withdrawals not working for me. What the hell?
My last transfer earlier today took ~2 hours to show up. Looks like it's not only their trading engine, their deposit/withdrawing engine lags too

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable. Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

When did that happen? An hour or two ago. Just before most of the 0.01 buys and sells started to disappear.

where are the wall pic's ?

It took them two years to figure this out... Orders make them money... Right but they take a % cut. A hundred .01 orders makes them the same as a single 1.0 order, except it taxes their servers more.

Market Cooldown: Orders will not be accepted for the moment as we need to upgrade our database to accommodate the trading volume. However, you may still cancel your pending and open orders. Trading will resume at 11.00 am JST.
What the hell, cooling down AGAIN? Another nearly TWELVE hours? This is a joke. A complete joke

Orders make them money...
Tiny orders make them little to no money. Probably just not enough to justify the expenses of buying more hamsters.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.
