The more the product tanks the more difficult it becomes to produce it. What kind of a bloody  moron comes up with this crap. And millions of people take it seriously. It´s truly amazing.

Don't think bitcoin actually has millions of users.

Millions of people have heard retarded libertarians hype the thing.

But very few of those even know the word "mining" in bitcoin meaning or know what a blockchain is.

When I first heard of bitcoin I spent a few days wondering why someone couldn't duplicate coins. I had no idea that bitcoin was something kept in a shared ledger rather than your computer.

Popular explanations aren't very good.

Self-regulation de-centralization, blah blah blah. Result a bloody heaven for criminals that have their way at will and dont have to fear the slightest consequences which of course attracts even more criminals and so on.

Criminals use dollars also. It's even been estimated that cash is used for crime at a higher rate than cryptocurrency.

Also, could we not derail this thread with general talk about bitcoin? Many places to talk about that.

I´m referring to criminality in bitcoin operations.

The trust scores you see are subjective; they will change depending on who you have in your trust list.

I feel like I'm the only person that uses Bitcoin to pay for things instead of buying and holding it like a stock lmao. Paycoin has no uses, it's just all speculation based on some shady and false promises from the company that made it to get out of shutting down just like the rest of these cloud mining companies. Anybody else out there that isn't going full retard on an emerging market speculation? I hear the dinars are doing pretty good (trollface).
I am with you. I use BTC to pay for my primary company's servers (Yo Dell!), the server hosting (confidential), our domain registration (Yo Namecheap!) and numerous other products/services (Microsoft, TigerDirect, and Newegg to name a few).

@ bananafana - keep dreaming and buying into the hype at your own detriment.

I'll do that, if you'll practice your reading skills. Deal? :-)

Most of those threads are full of brainwashed bitcoin cultists. I thought I noticed some brain activity here.

Currency is currency. What people do with it is their agenda. Gold has also been used for criminal activity I'm sure. Just as cotton and sugar has been. So what is your point exactly? Bitcoin is possibly the most useful currency in history. I don't buy and speculate that it will be the future end all be all of currency, but it sure as hell is a great tool for the resourceful to use. Am I missing something you see that I don't? Paycoin has no use other than speculation, and even if it did, it would just be the same as Bitcoin only centralized. That's a big no for me and anybody else in crypto.

Ok, so if no one complains, I'll continue.

About crime: I like a world where someone can set something up like cryptodouble, people know it's a scam, put in, and some lose. That feels fair to me, somehow. As long as people know going in that the counterparty's not accountable, I've got no problem. I also think Silk Road is good, because I oppose the War on Drugs, and SR is apparently safer (once saw a study showing this, believe it or not).

If there's an expectation of not being scammed, like where the company is based in a known location (like gaw), then usual laws apply.

I don't really see any in between for these categories. if you take issue with either, or have another example that's relevant, I'll listen.

Yeah I guess you´re missing the fact that the more the price of this wonder thing tanks the more difficult it becomes to mine it. Price of product and production capacity have an inverse correlation. This sort of production model is very unusual I must say.

Bitcoin must be pricing in something VERY unpleasant. Doubt it´s GAW.

Which major mining operation is likely to go belly up first ?

cointerra ! they couldnt pay their hosting provider...

next.. well we will see..

im thinking that the marked will soon be flooded with "used miners"

Cointerra ? I´ve hardly heard of that I guess. Is it supposed to be a major operation ?

Cointerra , Austin, Texas...

Obviously you are kind of newb in the crypto-world ... Grin

This is why "votes" are never a good idea
These are long solved forum issues.

Either:
* don't allow down-votes (easy to abuse) only-up [FB-style]
* only allow random actors limited, time-limited up/down vote powers but they have to earn it. Vote level filters for readers [Slashdot-style]
* hide down-voted posts that have to be clicked upon to be seen
* and CEO never is allowed on the forums nor any forum powers [Blue Frog Gaming]

etc ...

Meantime, cashtakers for $11.95.

I´ve heard of it but guess it wasn´t worth much attention at the time. Since it´s going belly up I guess it was a good thing that I didn´t waste time on it. I hope you spent tons of time there, good for you.

Some still have BTC from the good ol' $10-$20 days not so long ago and they are still ahead of the curve. Likewise, if you have the mining infrastructure, there is still a lot of revenue to be made hashing BTC.

In summary, its all relative.

Speaking of time. I really admire and even envy people that have so much of it that they spend weeks and months on discussing companies around here that they´re not even invested in. Now that´s true wealth.

I think it´s much more about exponential functions and inverse correlation.

For real dog lol these trolls so pathetic. Maine you and I would get along. Paycoin is so much more useful than Bitcoin. Biggest merchant adoption in history my dood! Keep telling this anti-GAW shills. Josh is such an awesome guy he made us tons of money and I hope I can gift him a $10,000 bottle of champagne at Bitcoin Miami. He's my hero because he always follows through and Paycoin is so useful.

mining isnt that big a revenue at the moment... we are fast aprouching the hurt barrier for alot of mining operations... myself, im mining at break even, but since i dont have a big mining operation going on, i do it as a pure hobby thing...

also, total network hashrate is falling, and since the change yesterday... 14 hours aprox, time to next change is still at 14.6 days, so im guessing miners are being shut down at current btc price....

In parting I´ll leave you folks with a little something I saved a while ago for future use. It´s from someone who was here. csmary, csmaria sth like that.

Quote
One thing is filing a complaint, another is accusing a company of being a ponzi, and randomly trashing its reputation when no harm was done; and even worse - non customers randomly trashing a business around and ruining its reputation - thats sabotage.

Keep doing what you are doing and you will end up with a self fulfilling prophecy, roaming around forums and posting false acusations on a business will destroy its reputation and scare away customers, and this will ultimatelly kill the business, it dies and yes if it died it must be a scam... sheesh
