http://paycoins.biz/paycoin/announcement-sources-say-josh-garza-is-still-speaking-at-tnabc/

Breaking Announcement:

We have just confirmed from a source from the TNABC – Josh Garza will be speaking at the TNABC Miami
conference.
Josh will be speaking on Jan. 18th, at 11 am eastern time in the Main hall.
It seems the reports on Josh not speaking and cancelling his appearance are false.
No, that's the mining panel. Homero did not follow through with his Q&A on the main stage that he was supposed to do today. Anything concerning anything else but mining I'm sure will not be answered ie: all his lies and false promises. I think Hashlets are relevant for that section though.

From CoinTelegraph...:

http://cointelegraph.com/news/113314/last-minute-tnabc-changes-garza-cancels-robot-roger-ver-and-more

"...Josh Garza, the embattled CEO of GAW miners, has canceled his speech and Q&A session without giving a concrete reason to the organizers of TNABC. Concerns over crowd reaction have been cited as the most likely reason for his cancellation, as many in the community are accusing Garza of misleading investors with his altcoin, Paycoin....

Garza is still scheduled to take part in the mining panel, but he will not be giving his stand-alone speech or the Q&A session... "

ZiG

Well shit, who predicted this first? I think we all pretty much did the day it was announced right?  Huh

Not sure who was first, but it looks like Ian from CoinTelegraph was right after all.

Moe Levin, Eric Vorhees and the general TNBC is going to get massive Backfire if Josh Garza doesn't end up doing this Q&A right (If at all).

Because even if they do a Q&A, they seem to be sending mixed messages, scrambling communications as to where and what and who and when this Q&A is... If you do not want your enemy to know where you are going to be, you send out false/mixed/misleading messages.

So the only people at the end of it attending the Q&A will be the hardcore HT GAWites that trail him like glue and never let him out of their sight. No one else will even know where it is.

This is a complete mockery.

I'll certainly be honest that if the Q&A doesn't happen in an honest and transparent way but rather some controlled system I'll be sure we won't be accepting any advertising or supporting, covering or helping Moe or TNBC in the future.

We will spend our hard-earned dollars on other more honest conferences etc.

Exactly. They had weeks to organise this Q&A. And they did this just to appease people into not boycotting the TNBC. Now if they do not have a Q&A, or if it is a sham of a Q&A, there is going to be a lot of flak to come.

Josh will probably end up saying "It's not my fault the Q&A didn't happen. The organisers didn't tell me anything, I was just as lost as you guys". And Moe will say "We didn't have room for Josh's Q&A and left it to him to organise one, but he didn't"

There is going to be a lot of BS flowing after this.

Is that really Moe's fault? I mean I have no idea how it actually went down, but how could Moe possibly force Mr.Garza to speak/do Q&A if he doesn't want to? Looks like he wanted a 5PM time slot, if there is no room available what were the organizers supposed to do?

Again, no idea what the actual story is/was, and I really hope someone will spill it soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly what Mr.Garza wanted - get rid of the Q&A and blame the organizers.

Rapid Merchant Adoption of Paycoin™ and an Innovative API: The Proof of Our Success
One of the most important rules about analyzing the status of Paycoin™ is context.
In our collective world of near instantaneous communication, where hard news and conjecture seem to be in perpetual conflict and where a single tweet (because of its accusatory tone or erroneous assertions) can circle the globe before the truth has a chance to respond, it is helpful to pause . . . and exhale; because, if you take a moment to look at the substantial advances PayBase™ has achieved, and when you review the widespread acceptance (by merchants) of Paycoin™, the record – validated by the marketplace – speaks more clearly, and resonates more powerfully, than the combined statements of a thousand critics or a hundred extremists.

Or: Paycoin™ is victorious!

Painful as it might be, friends, colleagues dare I say brothers and sisters? You must read more of this incoherent drivel here:https://blog.paybase.com/rapid-merchant-adoption-of-paycoin-and-an-innovative-api-the-proof-of-our-success/

Quick question for Scott and Coinfire as it may add to the ammo.

Is it legal for GAW to give free life hashlets as gifts as a way to bring in new customers then to take them away? This seems shady and manipulative. Surely not legal?

Well, it's another case of false advertisement... Unless something in their ToS was violated.. But that has been changed so much no one knows what it is and it's likely null and void in any court room.

just checked my old account. removing of the hashlet was done as well as funds outstanding to cash out from the free hashlet. btc outstanding as 0.00000000btc when a month ago it was 30 cents worth i think. so they are also erasing what they owe you from the free hashlet. thats theft as well. GAWSOME!!!

If the "gift" was offered with the expressed and/or implied understanding it would be without time/earnings limitation or expiration date, then yes, GAW Miners, Inc., would be liable for the value of the "gift" at the time it was offered/accepted minus what was earned up to the point the "gift" was removed from your account. In this case, you may sue the business and/or its principles in small claims court. If successful, a precedent would be established for others to follow.

This issue would likely fall under "bait and switch" portions of anti-trust law on the books throughout the US.

Yes, Moe could have done the right thing. He didn't.

Sadly, I am sure that it will be a blame game but many offered to more than make up for the fees paid by Garza. I know of one major VC personally who offered to pay whatever it would have taken to bail Moe out of this situation. Moe decided to hype up this Q&A and get even more people to buy tickets and rode the train of publicity from this situation instead of doing the right thing.

Legal or not, it was obviously too good to be true. If illegal it will take time and effort to get anyone to do anything about it. You are much better going through life recognizing that stuff like this is too good to be true and not giving them your money.

i cashed out ages ago when i saw the red flags. ie when i believed it was too good to be true. i just noted this after i read someone on hashbase reporting free hashlet gone to confirm. 3cents a day was nothing but it shows they are packing mining up. notice on champions that craig no longer exists on prime or solo but he does on staking? he either completely converted over or ran. or it was a fake gaw account Smiley

GAW SOP. Probably hot wallet is empty and the private keys are in Miami Beach.

Reading through all those posts. I seem to see a correlation.

Everytime the arbitrage between Cryptsy and Paybase gets too large. BTC withdrawals turn off. One could assume there is a script determining when to shut off withdrawals when the difference becomes too large. Maybe i am postulating too much... but it seems to be a recurring theme. GAW doesn't want people profiting off the arbitrage, off them.

Many of the legitimate whales now free of GAW believe Craig was a phantom account created on day-one to pump up the "champions list". Multiple enquires and bounties to find the real Craig has been unsuccessful yet his/her/it's mythical support of everything GAW related is steadfast on a continuous basis.

Whether or not it was Moe's fault, he and TNBC WILL have to accept responsibility for it. And even Josh can't really back out of this one and put the blame on TNBC, he's fled from confrontations like this, backpedaled too often for this not to look bad on him (Boy cry wolf?).

It's not going to go down well at all.

Honestly, this entire situation is pathetic.

This is what Bitcoin has become? Powerful individuals that skirt responsibilities and play the blame game all the while laughing to the bank? And im not just talking about Mr Garza here either.

I have been thinking about this for a while now and the nonsense going on industry wide has reached a point that screams for something to be done ASAP. I believe it may be time to throw my own resources in to the ring and unlike some of these children trying to use their short-sighted cult-like greed to manipulate the crypto arena, I and others of similar mindset/value system will simply facilitate an industry consortium made up of VETTED and trustworthy entities who believe there is a place for ethical business professionals and mining hobbyists alike and have no issues with transparency and complying with all established + emerging regulatory affairs. It's not hard and in the long run will benefit everyone.

Well, when you put it that way...  Smiley

i cashed out ages ago when i saw the red flags. ie when i believed it was too good to be true. i just noted this after i read someone on hashbase reporting free hashlet gone to confirm. 3cents a day was nothing but it shows they are packing mining up. notice on champions that craig no longer exists on prime or solo but he does on staking? he either completely converted over or ran. or it was a fake gaw account Smiley

Antminers are being sold off so it's not that surprising they're getting rid of the hashlets. The only thing I don't get is that with all the recent bad publicity they would still do it the old-fashioned "we never promised anything and it never existed" way. They could have converted them to a hashstaker plus 1 XPY or some other contraption at no cost to them Smiley

I think I hate whoever is writing this shit now even more than I hate Josh.

I read it first as "whoever is writing this shit hates Josh"  Grin

Which might be true, it's hard to imagine that any sane person would think these writings are doing anything good for the CEO's image.

It appears that Homero actually had another speaking engagement in Miami that he decided was more important than answering questions from those darned pesky investors in his latest scam:

All of my posts are simply statements of my own personal opinions based on available information and pondering what might be possible considering human nature, with the goal of finding truth and preventing fraud. Please look at all of the facts and theories and put your thinking cap on to draw your own conclusions. If you feel that I have made a false statement or have been unnecessarily derogatory, I encourage you to please point it out, and if proven correct and/or reasonable I will remedy it. ~ Paul Revere

Everyone is so upset, Josh kept his promise in classic Garbozo fashion. He was at the conference. At some point he spoke and also most likely answered a question. So what is the problem? Any of you were expecting him to be a real grownup professional CEO. Come on really?
