I was brought in by a coder pal with a PhD....so I ASS-U-Me'd he knew what he was doing.  He got me in late summer 2014 with a BOGO sale on cloud miners, so I was hooked on that sweet deal.

What a wild ride.  My exit was satisfactory, because it was only a hobby in the first place, but I agree, many friends and thousands of others were severely burned.  I cannot imagine maxing out a credit card for that, but many did.  Some lost their homes and we watched in real time as friends' marriages & relationships fell apart from the financial strain.

All while Garbanzo was running around, having affairs, spending our BTC, living the high life.

I'll raise my unused GAWMiners shot glasses to that!
Perhaps forget the shot glass for while given your admitted drinking problem.

Put that POS on IGNORE and he'll just have to fade slime away. Total waste of space.  Gonna visit Big Bro in the Pen, Smarmy?  He's following in your footsteps, wahahahahaha.

OK back on "ignore."    Grin

"And finally, Mr. Garza, a Mr. Marshall Long called and told me to tell you, "Cup my balls!"
I didn't know you played tennis. Your name plaque for the desk will be here tomorrow.
BTW, I'm not a natural redhead. I looked and discovered that I'm naturally bald."

Didn't any of the Investards see the spider web thingy prior to investing? Maybe they were too affixed on the empty desk.

It has 1 XPY loaded.

I'm partial to a matching coffee mug too, if available BTW.....  Grin

I have one of those shirts...and a shot glass set I never used.....cuz......buzz kill.

U want the H shirt?

It will cost you 2,555,666 PAYCOIN

or 25 cents.

ok, no prob
ill just press the RED ROCKET BOOST button!

In hindsight, I just cant believe I actually fell for that ridiculous nonsense.
The chuckle I get now at the sheer absurdity of a red rocket boost button is priceless.
Yes, I was a credulous crazy crypto cretin back in the day...

I saw those and instantly begin to go into a convulsions and started to shake uncontrollably yes when you look back is seemed like nonsense I agree totally with you.

My friend and I knew it had to be all bs the day it started - it was simply too good to be true, as we had mined a bit before so we pretty much wrote it off as a scam from like week 2... especially after the prices of hashlets went insane. Luckily we both bought ours in the first round, so they were mega cheap.

All those stupid buttons, boosters and hashtalk cult instantly set off so many red flags. Hell, by the time "PayCoin" arrived, I'm pretty sure we were both out with a small profit.... What a giant stupid ass scam that was.  Fuck hashtalk, I still hate that shitty forumm.... ::grinning::

Edit - And this asshole still exists as well? Ah, hell.... Glad I don't go on that site! Cheesy

Bitcoin Bar... ah yes! the "professional bitcoin loser (or as that genius would spell it, "LOOSER") trader"
as he liked to often refer to himself as. Such a modest fellow eh?
That buffoon couldnt pass a 1st grade spelling test and his grammar was that of a 5 year old,
emulating his hero, Homero. birds of a feather etc....

Isn't it amazing how some of Garza's sycophants became "miners" with the Ethereum boom, after they derided POW as "obsolete" because their idol told them so.

I hope they were the idiots paying 3x price for GPUs. Greed and stupidity.

It was unclear how much he made/lost in Garza and what happened to whatever crypto he had left. We had no way to communicate with his family and it's doubtful they knew how to retrieve all that.
