Great job guys. Thread no longer about Paycoin but education in America. Unsubbed.

Can we start another one where we don't measure our epeens relative to their educational statuses?
In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/19001/the-most-rare-legendary-hashlet-paycoin-origin/220

Behold... The origin of the legendary 19!
50 years from now when your grandkids refer to the event described in history books where the original 19 heroes were blessed by GAWD, you'll smile and proudly tell them "I was there when it happened"

WOW! How fucking brainwashed can you possibly be??? They call him GAWD and speak like they are on the verge of something so epic the world be forever changed. This guy should be taken out back and put down like Old Yeller for his and anyone else even near him.

Guys, 3 pages on education and diplomas, we've had enough, we've reached the point where you should move your discussion in a different thread...

Point well taken. However, there isn't much of anything else being discussed here. Two things I've noticed over at HT are that I have been able to slip in quite a few questions recently that haven't gotten me down-voted or banned that normally would have but I'm unable to down-vote any post. I haven't been down-voted in awhile and I have a 31 reputation with 37 posts. Anyone else have this happen?

You need 100 rep to be able to downvote. Also "admins", which is the CEO and I think some mods, can see who downvotes and will use that information to fight trolls, whatever that means.

I wasn't aware of the 100 rep thing. When and where was that announced? I did get the feeling that "admins" could see my down-votes though.

Wouln't help, it would turn into some other pissing match very quickly. The best we can do is sit tight for a few hours and it will die off when there is nobody to argue with.

Look on the bright side: apparently there are no major issues or gaffes with the PayZenCoinHashlets at the moment if all we have to discuss is education.

Quote
We will be bigger than CEX.io in less than one month. They are the biggest cloud mining company in the world. And we’re just getting started. Projections have us at a couple million miners by the end of next year.

Many problems with this statement.

1) Hashlets don't mine. Josh has said this himself. Therefore, if you own something that doesn't mine, are you a miner?
2) If we ignore that, and consider you a "virtual miner", can you claim to be bigger than CEX.io?
3) If we ignore that, but look at the numbers mining HashPoints, is there a leg to stand on for the above statement in any way?
4) Projections by whom? I'd like to see some real numbers of growth rate of investors/"miners" (how many are you adding each week since inception) so that we can judge this statement? Otherwise, it is just more conjecture.

EDIT:

Sorry, kept reading and came across this:

Quote
The majority of our customers order between $500 and $1500 per month in Hashlets.

So if we assume that "a couple of million miners" is like 1.5m today, and majority is 50% (so 750k), and we take the lower of "between $500 and $1500", then they are doing $375m per month in sales. Is that even remotely possible?

Edit for your edit: they will have 2 million by the end of next year, so maybe it's not 1.5 million yet. Actually there was a 100k number thrown around hashtalk, in the context of 2% customers using the forum. So let's say it increased to 200k since then. Also $500 to $1500 might be mostly market sales, so they get only $50-$150 per customer. Does that make it more believable?

Thiis pathetic cripple of an author is provided a nice and cosy free corner along with a bowl of soup permanently over there to beg for money. Anything and everything this lazy bum writes about is for a reason, not only there but everywhere.

I interpreted the statement to mean 1 million hardware miners.  It seems farfetched that they have 1 million customers hashing, and at least 500,000 (a majority) spent $500 ($250,000,000 total per month).  I don't think GAW operates near the billions.

Maybe a majority of 100,000 users, ($25,000,000 per month) not 1,000,000 users.

Edit: After a rereading of the article, he is definitely saying a couple million users ... but they don't have that now.  The couple million must be an order of magnitude more than what they have now.  We'll see, but I don't think there are enough people into crypto overall to get that many, especially when they operate in shadows, and even with his marketing, I don't see that many suddenly joining in.

Let's be honest, are any of the unverifiable claims made by GAW remotely believable?

$25 million is enough to buy ~2,500 GH/s (twice the size of the entire litecoin network). Don't forget that GAW already claimed to have hashrate equivalent to 97% of the litecoin network around a month ago.

So far all we know is they have a medium sized datacenter filled with Bitmain hardware and a few Zuesminers (not even close to 1000 GH/s).

To me it's obvious GAW is just using the "look, other people are giving us tons of money, so you should too!" tactic.

After a bit of math, at absolute minimum 971GH*485 (my own TH of sha256 times my champion rank of 485) about 400TH has to exist in Genesis alone, but likely must be over 3PH including all users and the fact everyone ranked above me must be over 971GH (as high as 25TH to 80TH at the top ten).

I couldn't give a ranking on the scrypt hashlets, as I only own 15MH, because they lost their profitability.  But in Primes there is 50GH in the top ten, and Solos there is 90GH in the top ten (poor souls), so figuring the top ten is maybe 10% they must have at least 1,400TH in power.  That happens to be more than the current hashrate of the litecoin network (1,356).  I wonder, are they even mining litecoin?

But even with their SHA256 hashpower, has anyone made any attempt to track the origins of the bitcoins paid out, and where the block was generated and relayed?

What a dicksnap.

They released a new hashlet to the buttlickers and forum mods.  Saying some bullshit they helped with the transition with paycoin.

Nothing could be further from the truth, the buttlicker brown noses of the forum only voted their friends and they in turn voted them, I never saw most of them post the last couple of days and they are entitled to a paycoin hashlet which there are only 19  ?  What did the mods do exactly other then their job this doesn't entitle them to shit, and I bet they are all on hashbase as well, must be gaws way of paying them.

But well done Josh

You have just told everyone loud and clear with your actions - if you are licker of ass you will get rewarded.
