Hello,
I am wondering if Bitcoin can be used for military purposes and has military usage

Are they even allowed to use Bitcoin?

I have read on the website

Quote
Resilience and decentralization

By its high decentralization, Bitcoin created a different form of payment network with an increased level of resilience and redundancy. Bitcoin can handle millions of dollars in trades without requiring military protection. With no central point of failure such as a data center, attacking the network is a more difficult project. Bitcoin could represent an interesting step forward in securing local and global financial systems.

Please confirm if Bitcoin can or cannot be used for military purposes and has military usage and if they are allowed to use Bitcoin.

Thank You

It could potentially be used for pretty much anything. You name it...

They are anonymous anyway so why bother using it. Bitcoin is for guys like us who would love to buy pizza without letting anyone know.

I'm not talking about data, I'm saying if they were to make illicit transactions themselves they would happily do it, so you can expect them to do the same kind of PR exercises that intelligence agencies do with the drug markets, take down a site here and there if things get bad but allow ones to exist that they'll harass for information and favours every now and then.
Bitcoin is a tool, just like a rifle is a tool, you can use it to defend yourself from a huge grizzly bear about to tear your face appart or you can use it against innocent people. Bitcoin is neutral.

Exactly. Bitcoin is indifferent. People will use it for nefarious purposes and for benevolent purposes. Every other currency is the same way. Neither good nor bad.

The same can be said about any other currency. But I think that bitcoin can most likely not be used for any kind of military attack.
