My mom is in need of a phone so she can be in contact with me, her doctor and my sisters. She is jobless without a home or money at this time.
She doesn't have ID so I don't think Western Union will work.
Tried MoneyGram online but I got a error that said they couldn’t progress my order and I had to call customer service. So I biked to the store to use MoneyGram there, but customer service closed at 7 PM.
Right now I'm going to buy a Target gift card at gyft and give her the code over the phone. If the staff says anything about not having the card with her, shes going to say it's a e-giftcard bought online.
I hope it goes well... I will update soon.

Sometimes we don't hear from her in months. The giftcard I got her should be enough for a classic phone and some clothes. I don't want to give her too much money or she will spend it all on alcohol. I bought her a few phones in the past and she ends of loosing them after a few months... |

The reason I have her ID is because she lost it awhile back and it was mailed back to our PO box. |

Sorry to hear about your mom's situation. Western Union actually does not require an ID to receive money if you choose "Security Question" as a method of verification. This is used when someone has lost their ID or Passport and needs money wired to them or any other emergency. I would do it this way as it's the easiest way to send her the money she needs.

If your mom has mental issue, or a problem with addiction with alchoal shouldn't 1st locate where she is, then go to an AA meeting or something. Is it you already tried everything?

The gift card didn't work. They needed a event number. I emailed gyft support to see if they have one.
I told my mom to call me back tomorrow morning.
My sisters don't want me to send her money. They keep on saying she will run me dry.
They said they asked her a few times if she wanted to come live up there and get help but she would always refuse.
Update: Support said the event number is under card details on the app.

I don't know how I would get her to go to AA. She doesn't like being around people she doesn't know. |

I don't know how I would get her to go to AA. She doesn't like being around people she doesn't know. Give her an ultimatum...the way things are going, it sounds like she's going downhill. Ask her if she wants to get better, and if she does, to attend AA; meeting new people is better than continuing down in a difficult situation |

woa,, but where do you live.?..There are many services can help you!
I went down there on my day off work and bought her a perpaid phone with a $20 month plan. And I got her new pants and shoes. |
