Most altcoins are Litecoin clones. They are (mostly) scrypt-based with an animal logo, country theme, or a funny name.

e.g. Flappycoin, Kittehcoin, Spaincoin...

They generate some interest for a few days after launch, then the price starts to plummet, the "community" loses interest, and the coin fades into obscurity.

If you're going to make an altcoin, then do something interesting or unusual or innovative.

But if you can combine animal logo and funny name...you're onto something.

Combine all three, and there is no stopping your awesome cloned coin.

I believe it was Mises who said that a currency is all about the logo and name. Or maybe it was Aristotle.

Whichever it was, someone with a -12 trust like the OP is the one to figure it out.

First seastead company actually selling sea homes: Ocean Builders https://ocean.builders  Of course we accept bitcoin.

Actually the citation derives from Plato, and appears in Such Republic Wow
