i have a fix so the values wont go negative anymore. also it removed the 50 FLAP per POS block maximum... also the staking is set to true by default. you will NEED to update to the newest version... menlatin will announce the details later

I guess let us know when it is officially available from github
i didnt push it because as soon as you start the wallet you will fork immediately with your first stake. so i need to discuss with menlatin on which block this adjustment will be on if we want to do it at all

It means that FlappyCoin will have an asset layer, like Counterparty, or Dogeparty.

when i have two wallets open and both do staking, a new block in generated every 15 seconds (every 30 seconds on both).
many blocks for nothing.

does this get solved by itself (difficulty) or is it a problem in the wallet?
i think 1 block every minute would be good/enough.

next problem, solved but not funny:

1 week ago all my coins are gone over night (from 2 billion to about 12 million).
i have tried to delete all files exept the wallet -> does not help, no coins.

Solution:
exported all private keys, imported in a new wallet -> all coins are there again.

i dont think you (griffith) can do something about it without big work, but maybe others have this problem too and this is the solution.

Since there are so few wallets staking, there's no overlap or competition between wallets to raise the difficulty and stabilize a 1-min block time. There's one last fix that griffith also wants to implement but it requires a hard fork.

As far as the wallets losing their balance, i haven't experienced that with mine, though due to travel my wallet is offline at the moment.

Did Cryptsy upgraded their wallet? Blockchain explorer at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/flap/ is still using old one.

again, 300 mil. are gone... not scary this time, hope you can rise the value of flappy in the next years so i get frightened when it happens Smiley
i did nothing spezial exept enable and disable generate every 30 min. (30min off, 20 seconds on).

Crypty never actually responds when they upgrade a wallet. I sent them a request a few weeks ago and they eventually get to it, sometimes.

my "allways on wallet" #1 46.105.129.29 did stake up to 2016-01-12, block 750000
it seems it generated a block every minute since 2015-12-20.

now (12.1.2016) it died (runtime error).
when i now start the wallet, runtime error after loading the wallet.dat.

maybe a forgotten limit on block 750000?

Error msg comes later:
Code:

My other wallet #2 (enabled now) does not accept this blocks, starting now to stake from block 711533.
Error in Log:
Code:
2016-01-14 18:06:56 ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK, prev=9ae1a5fdde0f8b67417f4472d3fcd4ae5e5463387ca33fd62f8f39d58c95c19c

....
and so on..

edit:
i set "gen=0" on #1, now it works again.
still at block 750000, now i wait if it reverts the last 40.000! blocks or not...

my other wallet #2 is staking, block 711547 ongoing (bit says block 711547 from probably 750000!)..

>Now< its dead.

I say thank you for the great times with you, Mr. Flappy Smiley

I have found a new Coin, Ethereum, also great to mine and a little bigger/lesser chance to fail Wink
After Flappy the last coin i mined, i sold all graphic cards, now i´m in again.

For shure i will keep my wallets, the halve is gone on Cryptsy death anyway.

So good bye and thank you for all the people they worked in the past on Flappycoin.

FLAP FLAP FLAP.

The flappycoin economy was destroyed by Aari Lotfipour.  You can find him on Twitter @aari13.  He also has a company called Jalapeno Inventive which is on Twitter @jalapen.io.

While I may not have the power to bring flappycoin back from the dead currently, I am considering a little spin-off that could reward loyal flappycoin users.  Stay tuned.  Tongue

Flappycoin died because the coin was upgraded to PoS and the dev hired, Griffith, fucked the wallets up and never fixed them. Don't put blame on those who hired them, he was trying to get FLAP moving forward.
