it will be interesting to see if it is possible to mine with gaming console
anyone share a link to tutorial if it can be done
i will give it a try with just for knowledge since i don't think it will profitable to mine with those

its not advisable to mine btc with anything other than the newest and strongest asic  miners. mining with CPU or gpu is just a waste of resources.

The thought of mining with a wii seems so ridiculous for some reason Tongue

It was for academic interest. Even then the particular specs may lend itself to good miners for some of the alts which uses mixed algos.
PS3's cell processor can handle a lot of floating point operations per second. It could possibly be used to mine a CPU only coin very efficiently.

The only way I can think of for mining on xbox or wii to be worth while is to have a coin that is exclusive only for wii or xbox, then it has a good potential.

But the chances of someone coming out a way to exploit it is too high.
