These Engineering Sample (
ES) Xeon CPUs have all worked flawlessly in every X58 motherboard I have tried as well as all 5500/5520 Server Boards.
I have not put these into a board that they have failed in....
(Misc. Asus, Gigabyte, SuperMicro, eVGA - X58 Single CPU and 55xx Dual-CPU Server/Workstation Boards)
Although some configs lack reporting of Model# in Windows System Info, CPU-Z and/or CoreTemp ALWAYS recognize the CPUs.
All function 100% with Speedstep/Voltage/Multiplier Controls/Dynamic Underclocking/Power Savings etc.
I make no guarantee for their overclocking abilities (as I never overclocked any of them), as my main concern when using them was proper Power Savings and Dynamic Underclocking (SpeedStep) functionality for my miners.All CPUs are Dual-QPI, so are Dual-CPU or Single-CPU Capable.
