I think I saw a thread about the capital of the bitcoin. Just read that BitPay has teamed up with Dutch Merchants to make Amsterdam as the 'bitcoin capital of the world'. I don't think it would be enough. What do you think?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Agree. It is just promotion for bitcoin terminals. It doesn't mean the high adoption rate and popularity in there, which will really qualify the city for the title of "bitcoin capital". No difference from our city!

True enough, but it is a positive development for BTC nevertheless.

In a few years every region is going to have a company like this trying to give away terminals to anybody that will use their service.

A good start, would like to see this in much more places in let's say a few years from now.

Would be nice to spend Bitcoin when you're on vacation anywhere around the world with Bitcoin.

Let's see first if this project takes off, as it's quite ambitious. I really do hope so  Grin

Same here - I mean why not?  I guess it depends how tight ass each country's Gov will be re. bitcoin in general, let alone machines and easier access to it for the people.
