Nice random pictures. Occam's razor tells me the douche freshman college dev just got a kick out of people paying money for "a coin backed by piss." There is literally no reason they needed him if it was legitimate. Brian Kelley from NautilusCoin spent $30 bucks to have his coin made Grin

Random pictures? Dude there is video of the CEO talking about Urocoin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oDsxU2hlx0

You do know they held in event at a 5 star hotel in Hong Kong last fall right? Gritt from Blackcoin was even there as a guest speaker. They even paid for several supporters plane ticket and 2 night stay there.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/112832/urose-2014-conference-what-we-should-expect-from-urocoin

I'm not saying the coin will succeed but lack of money won't be the reason.

Donkey piss?  Are you talking about URO coin?

No. But now that you mention it, why is that *obvious scam* still at a $200k market cap?

Because people are idiots and they think Bitcoin "isn't backed by anything".  Nobody needs an altcoin to buy urea;  they could buy it with fiat.  Or buy it with Bitcoin.  It serves no purpose, and it has nothing to do with urea.  It's just another altcoin.

BTW, where do you all get your account names? runpaint is just so *yawn*.

Yeah all the good names like crazyloaf were taken.  I hope you can see me rolling my eyes, because I'm rolling them as hard as I can.

The purpose of Urocoin was never to overtake Bitcoin or argue its better, just to bring some stability to an unstable market in the commodities world.

The reason for "tokenizing" Urea is a farmer could in theory buy Urea at today's price, hold onto it for a year, and if Urea prices spike he could exchange it for Urea at last year's prices. In a world where fertilizer prices can go rapidly up and down or vary by region by as much as 20-30% or more this would help 3rd world farmers out tremendously to be able to invest in what is essentially a futures contract on a digital token. It's NOT a currency in the traditional sense like Bitcoin.

It's actually a really good idea if people read up more on it but it's not sexy like anon coins , it's fertilizer, but Urea is what allows 50% of the world to eat. This is why I think there as so much distrust about Uro, it's made by "brown" people in a boring industry by people who have no experience in the marketing or social media world, and don't know how to react to the nastyness and fud around here. It was destined to fail with all the young and naive people in this forum. However its success won't be from crypto kids with their 20 dollar investment but from importers one day bringing in millions of dollars of buy volume should it take off.

Anyway I don't want to hijack the XAI thread I just see even after 10 months alot of people don't "get" URO and most of the reason why is because they were never educated about the facts because 200 pages of FUD popped up in 48 hours to dispel the coin's price. It's actually in the same position XAI is, XAI is so above level most daily pump and dumpers heads around here that it will take time for its true value to be recognized.

Anyone if anyone wants to debate me more on it find me on freenode, mikegeister in #uro and many other rooms.

The purpose of Urocoin was never to overtake Bitcoin or argue its better, just to bring some stability to an unstable market in the commodities world.

How is it supposed to do that, since it functions exactly like every other altcoin?  Anyone who wants to buy urea would be able to do it better with Bitcoin rather than trying to use Uro.

This is an important concept to understand for Bitcoin and all altcoins - what gives them value?  By saying that a coin needs to be "backed" by a commodity, you are saying that Bitcoin and other altcoins have no intrinsic value.  Ironically enough, Uro isn't backed by a commodity itself.

In theory, as opposed to actuality.  What you mean is that it doesn't work like that, at all, and in fact Urocoin has nothing to do with urea, or the price of urea, and you can't even buy urea with it.

In a world where fertilizer prices can go rapidly up and down or vary by region by as much as 20-30% or more

The price of URO has gone up and down more than that, and more rapidly.

this would help 3rd world farmers out tremendously to be able to invest in what is essentially a futures contract on a digital token.

But it's not a futures contract, in any way.  It's an altcoin, which means it is exactly like Bitcoin except not as good.

People are selling Urocoins, but these people don't own any urea.  They're selling an altcoin, nothing more, which means it has no value other than the proof of work and electricity it takes to generate coins and maintain the network.

If Uro was "tied" or "pegged" to the value of urea, then how could new coins be generated with X11 POW at the rate of 100,000 coins per year?  Is the Urocoin network generating 100,000 metric tons of urea every year?  No, because Urocoins have nothing to do with urea.

Quote
It's NOT a currency in the traditional sense like Bitcoin.

How is it different?  Just because you're telling people they're only allowed to spend it on 1 thing?  That doesn't actually make it any different - Bitcoin can do everything Uro can do.  Anywhere you can trade Uro, you can also trade Bitcoin.

Quote
200 pages of FUD popped up in 48 hours to dispel the coin's price

Was there a huge crash in the price of urea?  No?  So, again, Urocoin has nothing to do with urea.

Quote
This is why I think there as so much distrust about Uro, it's made by "brown" people

You're the only one talking about the color of people's skin, racist.

Like most people here, I'm sure you've often said that Sapience is like a shiny beast, a train with gray tubes that houses people's thoughts;  whereas Ripple's felt fades and gray sparks clacks.

Joe is the only one working on development side.

Would be nice to get other devs building on top of XAI once all the foundations are built.

Joe is the only one working on development side.

Would be nice to get other devs building on top of XAI once all the foundations are built.

Important to remember this; while other people write/act like they are on the development team, only JoeMoz (CedricQuotient on here) is doing the coding.

I've seen others post like they have an intimate knowledge of what is going on/what is possible development-wise, which probably just confuses potential coin holders. I know I've personally seen people argue against something being possible when I know full well it *is* possible since I've actually read the developer's words instead of just making stuff up Cheesy

Joe has ton on his plate then, I hope eventually he can get some to help so all the burden is not on his shoulders.

Def need to get the funding to continue this program full time

Whaaa? You've seen some other image of a XAI AI Core?  Grin  I'm with you though, very very nice.
Can't wait to start experimenting with it, and to see what smarter folks will build on top of Sapience/XAI.
