Behold the future.  POS offer 'common man' mining, now there is not even the need to manage nodes and clients.

Kids, I will break it down for you.

1- COINS, they are just units of value for exchange, most valid coins were released between 2009-2013.
2- Dex, platforms for asset tokens. (2.0)
3- Coins 1.1 ... smart contract networks ... ETH is the head of that pack.
4- Social media, democratized, content driven platforms ... data storage, torrents, steem blogs. (3.0)
5- Coins 1.2 ... ANon ... XMR, DASH, and ZEC lead the field ... DASH is shit.
6- Corporate shit master nodes ... DASH is electing to enter, XRP, Lumens, and worst EDR.  100% premine bogus projects.

TALK released in early 2014 aims to be a 1.0 coin that facilitates 2.0 asset launches.  Looking for 3.0 projects too.

The way i see it is unless you have at least between 40-100BTC you are never going to make enough profit to change your life and if you have 40-100 bitcoin your life is probably already Trill so for me it's all altcoins and other such things, sure making a couple hundred dollars is nice but in the greater scheme of things what difference does it make in your life? likely not much.

Sometimes you have to think about whether or not even if you know it's going to make you some money what is better for the long term and not just think about the short-term, I see much higher $ gains off uno in the future then i expect to see from bitcoin and that's my speech for the night, lol.

So, the Bitcoin ETF is around the corner (13th of March) and the odds of it getting approved by the SEC is around 10% (90% chance it will NOT get approved)

So what's going to probably happen after that? Let me tell you:

We will notice a 20-30% drop in BTC price which is equivalent to around 4 billion USD decrease in BTC market-cap.
So wondering where this 4 billion dollars will go? Well here is my humble speculation:

2 billion dollars will be converted to fiat currency  (People will sell their BTC for real money or USDT on exchanges such as Poloniex)
The remaining 2 billion dollars will actually move to altcoins. The majority of these 2 billion dollars will move to the top altcoins (The expected price in BTC is based on a $900 BTC):

- Monero (XMR) - I assume 20% of this 2 billion dollar cap difference will move here.
Monero Current Price: $15.30 (0.01216BTC)
Monero Expected Price: $18.00 (0.02BTC)

- DASH - I assume 15% of this 2 billion dollar cap difference will move here.
DASH Current Price: $46 (0.0367BTC)
DASH Expected Price: $53 (0.059BTC)

- Ethereum (ETH) - I assume 15% of this 2 billion dollar cap difference will move here.

Unfortunately Altcoins are not an option for most Bitcoin speculators.  Not even the half-ly dis-functional Ethreum family of coins and tokens.
I say what leaves the BTC market value goes back to FIAT (not what I would like to see, but that is life)!

it's not the results i'd like to see.  but i still flag it as a 'fair' general market prediction.

1.  i've seen the future!  and it is still primarily driven by FAITH in the BTC and LTC chains.  Note* there are various ways to attach ALT chains to either the B or L chains.

2.  everything else is a tough sell for the long road of endurance, so we see 'master' and 'federated' servers type of chains with top of the list market caps.

3.  Auxpow, Multi-algo, hybrid-POW/POS, and layering ... plus B/L can still have mixers for ANON fx. [attach]

4.  POS split off long ago, went solo 2014, still no 51% attack ... TALK is in that camp  Pure POS is a big idea, a big deal.

5.  It is about creating decentralized industries, the ASICs are at industrial level, and the POS too, ... every heard of AWS or Digital Ocean, servers are a commodity, and POS consumes that (hdd/cpu/mem) rather than ASIC-tech-chips and lowest-electricity-cost-production-location.  >> http://primecoin.io/mine-cloud.php << POS work the same way
