Indeed I am also interested.
1) I already reached out to Anton, gave him my reasoning , what happened from my point of view, and another theory of this chaos
2) Someone asked about the additional 9 BTC that I recklessly transferred along. Do not worry, it is on the house. you can see the cold storage is more than enough to cover the entire investment
3) Some people really don't like SafeDice to continue operating. I got blackmailed by a new user named vengefulspirit, he asked for 2 BTC so he can stop DDoS ing our site. Seriously, you take advantage of this moment? Not cool , dude. Not cool at all
4) I'll change the way the kelly system works to avoid similar things happened in the future
As an investor of the site I think the current Kelly+Variable Edge System is unique and great for investors.
I feel the negative opinions in light of the major house losses is mostly due to recency bias and likely coming from people with little stake in the site.
The system is fine. If investors wish to be more risk adverse they can simply set their risk to 1x Kelly instead of 10x. If they do not wish to put their entire investment at risk, deposit 10% of it at a time and reload as needed. Now many may complain, "Well I don't get enough of the house bankroll when I do this!" Sure, but that's what happens when you are risking $1 compared to someone else's $100.
Lastly, if I had the ability to earn 8% ev in one millisecond time with 0 effort at all, I'd probably risk 5-10% of my net worth. This also happens to be a situation where the player made a long shot bet so you could arguably risk more. Obviously, there is merit to lowering your risk in an effort to "grind the player down" but that isn't always a feasible option. If you prefer, there are plenty of other dice sites with this option available.
I for one am happy there is a one of a kind investment option around in Safedice. While not many investors may agree, I cannot think of a single player who dislikes the option of being able to bring the house down in a single roll of the dice.
