I think that only works if people deposit. I don't understand how anyone even lands on this site though. Their SEO is approximately the worst ever and this thread is nothing but scams.

I personally think that they are at least somewhat responsible for this loss if the owner ever comes back - simply because of the fact that your funds weren't freely withdrawable that partially contributed to you placing these bets out of impulse.

Ultimately the loss should still be attributed to you and it's your responsibility, and the casino, even if they do come back, will likely not process any claims on yoru part.

More people should be informed of this scam. I remember they had a huge reputation around here which may be the reason why so many people have opted to still play here despite the fact that they've been rogue for almost a year now.

That is a big dilemma at hand right now and I don't think there is a solution to it at all. Sure it was the casinos problem that the withdrawals were not allowed and they are nowhere to be found and that is a bigger problem than any one person, safedice is gone and they are gone with everyone's money in their account which we can't really stress how horrible that is enough.

However, if you have an account there with money in it and you want to withdraw, that means you have every right to do so, yet if you gamble with it and lose, does that really go into "he gambled because he couldn't withdraw" territory? If casino comes back today (doubt it) and paid everyone their money (unlikely) but didn't give him anything because he lost, I would say they could be right, but if they paid him because of the problems that wouldn't be wrong neither, both could happen and I wouldn't be shocked for neither options.

This similar situation happened with another gambler who for some reason decided to deposit and gamble on Megadice instead of the other hundreds of legit dice sites out there. The above users story is pretty similiar.

He make it up to $14K and couldn't do a withdraw, but he kept betting anyways and brought it up to $20K and tried to do another withdraw which also didn't go thru. I am wondering why these people keep gambling even they can't withdraw anything. I mean why don't they just play demo instead?

Even a simple Google search would tell you to avoid both SafeDice and Megadice at the moment due to red trust issues. So far there hasn't been much progress with Safedice and until the owner gets out of prison most likely all withdraws will be halted for the forseable future.

^ I feel like there could be some people who deposited here when it wasn't a scam, they played here properly for a long time, they even had a chance to withdraw once upon a time and had as many options as any other legit place as well until everything went south. At that point they were in and deposited and had a bankroll, they know that they can't withdraw their money, they know that the money they have on the website equals to zero, it is basically a demo money or fake money just like monopoly money because if you can't withdraw it and it is only on paper of some casino how could you consider it really your money?

So, they just gamble and try to have fun until they lose, there is nothing else you can do with it in the end so why not just have some entertainment out of it.

Part of me wants to intentionally lose all my XMR just to make it someone else's problem. But I doubt that's what the average user is thinking. I'm pretty sure I'd sell my balance for pennies on the dollar if there were a secondary market for this stuff. Doesn't really matter either way what happens at this rate since this is the unsafest dice out there.

The reality is that if you end up losing your money you are leaving all the "claim" you have gone and you can't do anything legal about it. If you already quit on the money you had and decided that it is a money gone then you are right but we have seen many many places in crypto world that scammed their users and then got jailed for it as well, so there is legal works that could be done about these kinds of stuff if everyone gets together.

I know one person can't afford to wage a war like this alone but if you could just built a community that got affected by something like this, then you could definitely gather around enough people to sue the company behind it no matter where they were located in. At least you could have bothered them a bit instead of letting them get away with it scott free.

There was a secondary market for the mt.gox situation which people bought others money for pennies on the dollar at the time and even tho it was an awesome stuff for the people who sold their money (even if it is pennies on the dollar it is not zero at least) but the people who bought thousands of dollars of dollars worth of bitcoin from people even for just couple hundred all lost their money. Ever since then people are staying away from buying others bankroll on websites, because they know when a website is gone, they are gone fully and that is why they don't buy your deposit.

So, that leaves people who do not have absolutely anything to do with that money to just gamble and lose it, what else can you really do when the other option is to just leave it intact and not get a single cent anyway.

If I'm not mistaken, you could still transfer money between accounts via chat commands. If so, creating secondary market should be rather easy.

Care to share your balance and what % of market value you'd be willing to sell it for (non obligatory quote)? Others, who have any balance on SD are also welcome to post their offers.

It basically makes no sense to keep gambling just because you can't withdraw it. Since there is a house edge, if you keep gambling you will eventually lose it all and the casino won't owe you anything. If you don't do anything you got a small chance of getting it back however. No idea what is going on with the owner but if he is indeed in jail, eventually he will be released and if he is an honest individual he will allow withdraws.

The secondary market is actually a pretty good idea. I wonder what the rate would be for say 1 SafeDice BTC? I am guessing it would be maybe in the 5% range or so. Surprised why people here haven't actually attempted this before. Its good that you can tip other accounts because selling the account entirely is too risky. The original owner can easily say they were hacked and get it back.

There has been no secondary market because of what I mentioned, back in the day when cryptsy and mt.gox got "hacked" there was secondary market but they never came back, so people never really got their money back, which means if you end up being like that there is no way I am buying your bankroll in this website since it worths absolutely zero, safedice is not coming back and it is gone and you are basically playing somewhere with your own risk so why would I pay for it.

Secondary market was only a thing when these all "exit scam" things first started, now we all know exit scams do not come back and that is why nobody is willing to buy your money. In any case gambling here and losing all your money is still only option because everyone thinks there is %0 chance they will get it back so losing casino willingly by gambling or not losing and just not getting it anyway is literally the same thing for many.

I know this website is dead (I liked safedice very much) but as far as I remember owner stated that SDmod would take care of some things there. And also, since website is almost dead, why it still remains live? I think Safedice would be hosted on dedicated server and not on just random shared hosting or vps server). So it worths decent amount of money, who keeps it alive, why is it still alive?
