Yes, I am.  We've never discussed having NastyFans pay for infrastructure improvements, and I didn't want to start an argument or turn away potential/existing seat owners with unexpected costs.  For that reason, I saw this as another opportunity to show my dedication to the project.  If for some reason there were NastyFans that wanted to help me with the a/c and electrical circuit costs, the estimate for work being done this Thursday is ~$2,000 and donations can be made to my BTC address: 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe

I've often been devil's advocate. I've pointed out legitimate, sincere concerns and questions, pushing for straightforward policy

... not everyone considers "doing things right & having a solid plan" to be worth as much effort as ... nevermind

Basically, I'm sorry for "stirring the pot" in such a way that my intentions and goals were dismissed as trolling or otherwise useless words.

Obviously, my methods can't do shit if my words fall on deaf ears.

Perhaps someone "less unpopular" (better liked?) can make a difference.

I agree with kuzetsa.  I propose a poll to change policy to state that "any members that do not vote within thirty days will automatically vote for the 'abstain' choice."

I also believe that a majority of seat owners wish to have 25% of donations set aside for future expansion.  For that reason I would like to ask nonnakip to change my 'abstain' votes on the current poll to 'yes' votes.  I believe this is what the majority wants, and I'd like to do what I can to force this through with the current policy while we resolve the abstaining vote issue.  If there are objections to my voting to pass this poll, please make them known.  I'm a reasonable person and only want to do what is right given the circumstances.

Think we can get some pics posted on the fans site of all the new gear someday?

I'll definitely post some pics here.  There isn't much to show yet, but as soon as I get the a/c unit & jalapeno running, I'll post some new pics of the operation.

Nothing yet.  It's my understanding they're only shipping jalapenos until the new boards for the singles come in.  I'll definitely keep everyone updated when I do get the email.

Your dedication is awesome.  I'm donating appr $120 to help cover the cost of the upgrades in proportion to some seats I own, plus some extra to help cover the cost of the Jalepeno that you are sharing with the mining.  I encourage other fans to donate likewise in proportion to their shares.  Not just because they appreciate what OgNasty does, but also to further the partnership that we have and encourage more in the future.

nastyfans is still young. We have 20% seats that do not vote. We have 154 seats on probation. I think as time passes the nonactive fans will disappear. Then voting will be more successful. And maybe someday we have a policy that matches you.

That's really generous of you. I'm really happy to see that you are continuously working and spending personal funds in improving NastyMining.

But, it's my understanding that the 25% growth investments from the FanClub donations we voted for are being used exactly for improvements like this.

I know this is not an official policy right now, but maybe it's time to vote on making a 25% Growth and maintenance pot?

Honestly an 80% voting ratio is actually a pretty amazingly high ratio.  In most companies the vast majority of shareholders do not vote, even large shareholders.  I would recommend contacting those who did not vote in the last poll and asking them to select "abstain from polls" if they do not intend to vote.  (Or making a poll to make that the new default for people who have never voted, and for people who haven't voted in the last ~7 polls...)

There's another Asicminer auction up, 5x as large as the last.  While the prices last time ended up too high for Nasty to justify buying, AM might have made a mistake this time by starting the 48 hr auction on a Saturday morning.

If the prices end up lower, might be worth Nasty Mining picking up a few.  Thoughts?

IMO, until they ship, they don't exist.  There are plenty of vaporware asics out there- BFL, 100TH/s mine shares, etc.

Having something hashing soon will be much more profitable compared to waiting again for a product to be shipped for its first run. Once these devices are getting shipped regularly the difficulty will be huge.
