OG as your alter ego has opened a sensible line of discussion with me and this is a Fanclub page and not a Nasty Mining page I will continue to converse with him

Let me be clear. I do not approve of the harassment to OgNasty. I see your personal attacks in this thread as negative garbage. I respond only to valid points because other members maybe find my answers interesting.

if NastyFans is truly separate from NastyMining then there should be no issues investing in other mining ventures which will bring a positive ROI to the club.

The "about" page on nastyfans exists for purpose. Why can you not understand it? Let me highlight the most important information:

you commented that you don't have time for developing vendor relations ... so get the skills from other members, there are a ton of people in the mining subs who want kit. why not invest in an upcoming batch of miners

My president role is clear defined in policy. I am not manager or motivator or responsible for new ideas or responsible for generating profits. I make sure services run and start polls. That is it. We have many members that help with implementations and articles and hardware and donations and promotion.

If nastyfans should take any actions then first thing is a poll. Sometimes there are many polls because there are many following decisions. First what to do. Then how to do it. Then how to handle funding. Etc.

for this place to move on and become a community that helps promote bitcoin you need a new pony to follow fella!

If you suggest that nastyfans should not follow NASTY MINING then you do not take this fanclub seriously. You do not understand this fanclub. You do not belong in this fanclub.

Very cool, glad to hear that it is up and running!

Looks like our L3+ had an error and shut down overnight...  I updated the firmware, switched it to a new wireless access point, changed the network cable, and it appears to be operating again.  Hopefully this isn't an ongoing issue.  I'll try to keep my eye on it.

EDIT: My wireless network seems to be going a bit crazy.  After a couple hours of troubleshooting I think I've got it all playing nicely now.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  I have way too many wifi devices...

Or what's happening with the 'expected payout' it hasn't increased in sometime now...

Can I buy a Vowel or a Clue as to what's going on?

The expected payout is what you can expect to receive when p2pool hits a block.  It won't change much unless your % of the pool's hashrate changes.

The only place I find the word "expected" is on the NastyPoP payout rates page. That page shows only past payouts. The "vs. expected" column is based on math calculation of hashrate and compares past actual payouts against what a miner could mathematically expect from mining hardware at that time.

NastyPool miners

This page lists the Bitcoin miners active on NastyPool over the past 24 hours. It shows the hashrate of each miner and marks accepted P2Pool shares. It shows the payout address and expected payout to each miner for the current P2Pool mining round. It shows the payout method chosen by the miner.

I am understanding that the Hash rate is low these days, I was only comparing my first 2 months of experience with NastyFans and/or P2Pool, with the last couple months where the "expected payout" seemed to CLIMB and then HOLDS whereas for the last couple of months, it hasn't climbed much at all, and it drops significantly.

i'm in full agreement with "not looking to make a fast buck" @ NastyFans or P2Pool, or Bitcoin Mining in general, i'm just trying to learn
how this 'all works' and get the proper perception via NastFans/P2Pool and you are helping to do that, thank you.

By any chance, is there anything available 'out there' where it gives a a visual as to how the whole block chain, and miners/farms, and blocks, and Block Rewards work on a Global/Pool/Node basis?

NastyPool is a p2pool node that offers the NastyPoP payout, which combines all participating miners and gives them an equal share of the reward to lower variance for smaller miners.

Nice!  Happy to see the new hardware chugging along, always hate getting the things initially stabilized with new hardware.   Are we anticipating picking up any More L3+'s based on what we're seeing so far? 

Also for some of the comments earlier concerning mismanagement - I'd just like to note as a long term member of NastyFans, I've not once had trouble or concerns in OgNasty's transparency or management decisions.  He's always been very open to addressing specific questions or concerns via direct messages.   I think there's been some frustration over folks who have invested in seats via bitcoin who have since seen bitcoin perform at higher levels than what the return they received from NastyFans.  To this I'd also note I "invested" 3 BTC in some alpaca socks many years ago, at the time it was an equitable trade made for something of value to me.  Yes, sitting on it may have been the wiser move, but as a NastyFan, I've invested in a long term contribution to the security and stability of the block chain.   The other thing for me, is that I've since long ago stepped out of the mining space personally, relying on folks like Nonnakip and OgNasty to take care of the day to day operations, and they've also continued to make the investments in new hardware and setting up the infrastructure to support all of this - and for this I'm very grateful.    We've been through a few rounds of discussions concerning management, and while I think it's important that there is accountability, this isn't and has never been a fly-by-night operation to fleece members - if it was it would have shut down years ago like so many other mining groups.
