Private ones have much more better speeds than public ones (some torrents on public trackers maybe have more seeds, but they also have much much more leechers), they have better quality content, there are no viruses, and except general trackers, every privater tracke is specialized for one specific group of torrents (movies, games, music...) For example, PassThePopcorn has the biggest movie database. Bigger than any other private or public torrent tracker. That is why its invites are expensive (price depends on several factors).
