I wouldn't call it spam but I don't think emails are the same as text messages. I'm fine with receiving email updates since I asked the site for them and am ok with them. Text alerts should have an option to be disabled.
The only reason they occur is for important notifications about the platform (a new upgrade or advance for example) or when you have a deposit credited to your account. Rest assured, I will notify the team about disabling alerts. The only reason that I would want my phone number used is for the 2fa alerts which are necessary. I would want to disable any other alerts because I'd rather have them on my email or nothing at all. There should definitely be a disable text alert button on your site I didn't get this message from BIT-X. AFAIK you can disable it in notifications settings. It was disable for me but I enable notifications for deposits and withdrawals.

Is there a validation step above Basic? I can't find it anywhere on the Bit-X website... I would like to start using bit-x to buy, sell and trade bitcoins, so if I need a higher validation level to do that, I would like to do that asap, as they usually take a while to go through...

Quick question, how is bit-x still mining when cex.io and zen cloud miner are down? Do you still make a profit when selling gigahashes?
Apologise for the delayed response. The reason BIT-X is still operating their cloudmining services is due to their lower maintenance fees and the efficiency of their mining equipment provided by BitFury (new 28nm will be released soon for even greater efficiency).

The BIT-X MasterCard specifications are as follows (click on the images for larger versions): [ img height=200 width=500]https://i.imgur.com/sdJefkr.png[/img][ img height=200 width=500]https://i.imgur.com/3n263UF.png[/img]The 0.05 BTC setup fee is waived for all clients who complete basic verification prior to April 1, 2015. POS (Point of Sale) Transactions - In-shop or online payments. Exchange Rate Fee from BTC/LTC to USD/EUR/GBP - Conversion fee at the time of card use from your BTC or LTC balance to USD, EUR or GBP for a payment or a withdrawal. Exchange Rate Fee from USD/EUR/GBP to Different Currency - Conversion fee (MasterCard commission) if you pay for an item or initiate an ATM withdrawal in a currency other than USD, EUR or GBP. Fees are subject to change. If they do, all users will be notified appropriately and well in advance. The card will be available for purchase in early April, 2015. BIT-X.com IMHO you should lower 'Inactive monthly fee' and 'ATM withdrawal fee'. Other all seems fair to me. Edit: Re-quoting as a minor update was done (P.S. Re-quoted as BIT-X messaged me):Edited.

So basically we have to pay 0.1 to get the card going, and 0.02 to keep it going each month? That way, the card will cost 0.34 in the first year, right?

0.05 BTC is the card issuance fee which will be waived if you are part of the signature campaign and/or complete basic verification before April 1! 0.05 BTC is the card activation fee. So you can get the card for only 0.05 BTC (activation fee) and then 0.02 BTC a month. 0.29 BTC in a year which is incredibly low considering what it is and what it means (a debit card you can use anywhere with your BTC/LTC balance)!

Didn't know it would also be free for folks on the signature campaign So, the card issuance fee includes the issuance and the shipping? Anyways, I think this card is a great idea... Just not 100% convinced to use it as of yet As I've said in the other thread, I'll wait for the terms and conditions and then I'll decide. But yes, this card means quite a lot, that I have to agree. EDIT: edited and requoted to avoid mistakes from folks checking the thread
