It seems locking threads by some OPSs is used to censore other members with complaints and to stifle freedom of speech. I think locking of a thread should only be allowed by moderators in case of pointless trolling.

Introducing constraints to the economy only serves to limit what can be economical.

You get merit points when someone likes your post enough to give you some. And for every 2 merit points you receive, you can send 1 merit point to someone else!

How else can Forum Cry-Babies 'Hit-n-Run' without being able to lock a thread after getting in (what they perceive as being) the LAST word ?
Thread Locking shows who squats to pee and who can actually maintain civil communication without meltdowns, resulting in running away.

100% agreed, I see a lot of companies do it after a person points out a flaw in what they are trying to do! |

I agree, especially when a lot of disinformation is being moved around. I think it is fine if the OP requests to the moderators to lock the thread for a good reason. If it is a lame reason then the mods can deny the request. |
