With all the local bitcoin trading sites popping up it would be nice to have one that sucks in all the listings and displays them in one spot.

Similar to a meta search engine from back in the day that got info from all the existing search engines at once.

You could also list bitcoin otc offers there if possible.

Is anyone working on this or wants to set it up ?

Some that Im aware of - do they have api's ?

At this point none of them seem to be offering API (and bitcoinary to my knowledge isn't location-based, like the other services).

I will try to improve localbitcoins.com, but scraping data from other site isn't top on my priority list, because these other sites really haven't gained that much momentum to be useful yet. Maybe later.

Yeah I am kinda disapointed because there doesnt seem to be many outside the US using these sorts of sites.

Well, that is because there sites should be multilingual.

However, currently I want to do some bigger improvements to localbitcoins.com - I want to improve the overall concept. After this bigger development, I will start also translating the site to multiple languages.

I'm actually very excited if someone manages to solve this "local" bitcoin exchange problem - it would make it much easier to travel with bitcoins, for example.

Perhaps a mobile app utilising one of the other location based apps like foursquare, gowalla,SimpleGEO etc.

People can then "check in" and add their location. For instance you might be at the airport for the next few hours and in that time someone could meet you. Not only is this location based it is also TIME based.

Now that you mention this, we should have a site to send a letter to all of the companies listed here:

https://bitcoin.org/en/posts/denounce-segwit2x

telling them to stop supporting segwit2x or else you'll stop using their services forever. We need to take action and we need to it intensively and quickly. Someone should code a site that sends an email to all of these at once.

are you really promoting mail spam? I mean, do you think bitcoin.org will care about you and your "stop supporting xyz or else i'll stop using your services"? With this kind of attitude you are not gonna change anything.. for sure not with brute force/mail spam and crap like that.

Tremendously amusing proposition. Obviously not a scam.  I shall keep an eye on this.
