I do lots of BTC to MoneyPak transfers here thinking it would be a cheap and safe way to recieve funds for my BTC. Apparently you can still open disputes.. My card is locked down now due to someone opening a dispute of a $100 trade I did. After they provided me the MoneyPak number I did some back tracking and found it came from this user: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=59224Just waiting a reply from him now.. But man I had no idea people could even file disputes against MoneyPak. Sigh. |

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Without the receipt, you are screwed. |

hmm... why was he both buying and selling moneypaks at the same time? Second card came in the mail so my moneypak limits are greatly increased. I can now accept Moneypak as well as I have a few moneypaks that I will get rid of as well.
btw, in case they start asking questions about your other moneypaks, I still have the receipt from the moneypak I sold you last week, and can send it to you if you need it. |

Ruh roh, this is definitely starting to look like a scam. rothglobal was selling anonymous credit cards here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=85326.0and on a thread on talkgold. On both forums, there are many people who have ordered cards 3 weeks ago and they have not received them. rothglobal is also no longer responding to either threads. Now with the addition of this moneypak story, it's certainly not looking too good. Glad I held off on ordering one of those cards. |

Wow. Should just lock newbie section and close registrations.
I hope you get your card unlocked. And, guess what? I threw out my receipts for the two money cards I converted over to btc. If I had known about this I would have kept them in my possession to mail off to you.

Be careful with buying codes of prepaid card from strangers.

Also, use escrow. Not difficult. I am afraid it is not that easy. If you are not sure of the actual orginating source of the prepaid payment option, you should be very careful. Did the codes come from a legit source, or is it attached to criminal activity. In the latter case, you may think you're completely okay, until you find yourself in a host of legal trouble, and then - unfortunately it's to late to avoid the trouble. Even though you are rightfully 100% innocent, law enforcment will have to establish that fact before agreeing with you, and that procedure is not always the most pleasant to go through.. Personally I would never buy a code for any prepaid payment option from anyone but a reputable seller or reseller, that doesn't include internet strangers. |

I agree with you, that is a good idea. However with previous trading experience, I've been presented with for instance fake passports, so I'm not sure how hard it would be to fake a receipt. Sure makes it far more difficult to fake, but could still be done ? |

Not that Moneypak sucks, it's disgusting to see honest people get royally screwed trying to provide a great service. Wrap my callus's around their "scammers" throats. |

Not only is it reversible, you can also get in trouble with law enforcement from accepting it, depending on the orginating source, and how it was aquired in the very first place. In general somebody being very persistent to make a deal, and also they often wants to make it really quick, it's time to raise your eye brows and think twice about if you should accept it or not. |
