GAW seems to have planted a rumor that they will "support" the price at $20. But it's around $6 now based on the price at CoinSwap.

This thing has terminology like a pyramid scheme, with "prime controllers" and "3 month hash stakers". The 3-month lock-in just screams "Ponzi scheme".

I am already in and out of XPY.  Took some profits.  Good luck with this one.  Nobody knows why we need another coin for payments when all of the coins we have are currently perfectly acceptable.

A coin for the People?  GAWminer Bitcoin oligarchs gave 3% scraps for PoW and pre-mine the other 97%.  We should all bow before King Garza for giving the people some coins to mine.

But if it's profitable to mine it - keep mining !

Mining over shortly will be interesting to see how the stake is generated and how much is going to be made on it and when the price is going to go up on it. I do detect a smell somewhere on this but mehh am all game if it brings some profit towards the filed of BTC

So maybe I'm just not getting it.... They premined 12 million of 12.5 million coins so they own almost all of them.  Tons of folks are mining the hell out of this coin right now.  As of my post 317,814 coins mined. So there's 182,000 coins left..... What then?  With no miners to validate transactions because there's no mining reward what will they do?  Will GAW pony up the $$ to run "Miners" to process the transactions?  Or is that what their deal is with the HashStalkers or whatever their selling?  Those units stay online and GAW pays them directly from their endless stash of XPY thus they are able to completely manipulate the market ?  Sounds uber shady.... but genius in a devious sh*** way..... If that is indeed the case.  Now the question is do we mine and dump or mine and hold for a bit..... Hmmm....

About 60% of the 12 million coins are going to customers, 40% are going to investors
so,About 60% of the 12 million coins are going to US,miners and hashpoint in zencloud
40% are going to investors,the coins are already sold in the two ICO before the launch.
conclusion,all the 12M XPY are already distributed.

Well I've been with GAW for more than 3 months now and I'm active on Hashtalk. I got on the Paycoin train right from the start and I gotta say I'm glad I did. XPY is easily the biggest most ambitious crypto project ever, GAW has literally got millions of dollars invested in this. The real innovation of Paycoin is not some amazing new code but instead the ingenious system they've devised to integrate cypto into society. For those interested, I'd suggest that you read through the whitepaper and follow development directly on Hashtalk. I believe that the $20 support GAW will be offering next week is nothing compared to what this coin could be worth in a year. I'm not selling my XPY anytime soon that's for sure

Yes , as you said the mining will end soon, but if it was merged mining the one can take more extra cash after POW end from transaction fees.

Would you mind list me some good coins which we can merge mine with bitcoin other than namecoin? and how about peercoin?

Unless I missed something 500k/49 = block 10204 is the end of POW, current block is 7088
