In order to avoid others to intercept the code for the voucher I will send you a GPG encrypted and signed message with the code. I've heard of this and told my credit union to hold a suspect check once to make sure it would clear and I wouldn't get charged for a bounce. YMMV

Checks, yes, but with money orders it's pretty hard once the money order has been paid.

My understanding is that checks are theoretically reversible for 60-120 days. Maybe it's not easy to get your bank to reverse the check after a few days, but it's still reversible.
