I listened to primarily video game music in my tween years, and still do today, but have added punk and classical to the mix. I find that it's nice to have an eclectic taste in music, because it makes it difficult to get bored of listening to the same kind of thing all the time. If I'm tired of Beethoven, I switch to Nirvana. Video game music also provides a nice mix of fun tunes and dramatic ones, and the lack of lyrics lets my mind wander more freely.
