can you guys confirm you still can create new addresses and import them? I might be overlooking something... just got the following error while importing a private key (with wallet unlocked and synched): error: {"code":-5,"message":"Invalid private key encoding"} Hi What type of key and from which chain are you trying to import, using which client version? All standard BTC/LTC/DASH keys should import pretty easily. oh.. and on this subject , how would you guys like the extra utility of being able to use the same one private key across all these chains? Say you get one BCR privkey and just translate it into the various chains you want...essentially meaning that you could instead of keeping a ton of privkeys...just store the one, that you can use on all BTC based chains? BCR key ... ? I have just issued... a new one.. to be sure again Windows Client 0.30.17.1 (bitcreditd.exe or the qt version is the same thing) Chain.. EDIT: And I think it works now.. =) creating a new bank node to be sure all the process is acceptable... will give news soon... EDIT2: Created a new banknode successfully... but it was a crap of an assle time spent on Windows 10, making BAU work on the wallet... there is something wrong with the client.. that after version 0.30.16.X started to take huge amounts of time to respond... can someone confirm this? In any case good work! =) It looks like that every time there is a new block ... it enter a some sort of long working code... waiting for some threads... maybe (I see no responding... indicating waiting for Interrupts signals or high intensive loops...).

We are now at ~205263 Every 900 blocks there is supeblock : 205200 206100 207000 207900 208800 209700 210600 ... Chainz is finally working but is not in sync and not accurate or I'm missing something, I don't see any of my 4.05 fees on chainz but I see them in wallet. @bitcreditscc You were right about hyped coins, now they are dying in painful death, but they lack of healthy community, so this abandoned seems to be a better choice. Great work and I am still impressed that after some problems bitcredit is still a strong coin, seems that nothing can kill it . Just to grumble like I always do, it would be really helpful to establish some official update schema (I know You don't have a time for this ...) update number mandatory or optional fixes list Windows wallet problems seems to be a small drop in a sea of thing You already did and intend to do but are really pivotal in way to reaching broader mass adoption. @ thelonecrouton You are saying it doesn't matter if my BN will have Intel i7 cores, Atom or Pi ? Hashrate matters or not. EDIT: BN mining is a great, unconventional but simple idea, hope it would be ballanced a little better or some options would be given, without it there will be no additional hashrate. I get what you are saying but Dash might be not a good example, it has highly centralized mining, right now coinmine.pl has 61 % of all hashrate https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/#!extraction which could be effect of many users unconsciously mining with their rigs, having trojan installed from pirated GTAV or another infected game https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg12360005#msg12360005@cisahasa Declare yourself clearly, you want to help, fuck up BCR blockchain (I don't believe in coincidence) , seeking for some attention or just want to to be ignored like now.

For everyone using linux, and or mining please update to the latest build, some of you are producing blocks that are weird , especially by trying to avoid payout blocks. If you have a BN that is suddenly not getting paid, that is because you are using an obsolete version and so it gets ignored. @ every update , please run ./autogen.sh and ./configure this is how it updates version info , if your version info is not updated and your build has correct code, you will still be cut off. I know people are getting tired of updating, but the move to 0.30.16 to 0.30.17 has been huge and since i mostly work alone some small things fall through the cracks, for example, the code to allow import of BTC/LTC/DASH privkeys was just missing a 0, and the no-sync issue was a pointer gone bad. Many of these things possibly could have been spotted if there were peers reading through the code, but as it is.... i only find some of these bugs as we go. The chain is alive and chugging along, though someone has decided to waste their electricity To intercept the miner who is trying to make off with the payout block, i have added an experimental rule that should do the trick, very crude, but effective. Enforcement is @ block 207000 (about 3 days fro now, thereby allowing all users ample tie to update. I'll be taking a break for now, it's been more than week since i've had a moment. I'll still be online but no real coding work till monday

They can still go crasy and make their own network for a while.. but it should not match what people with banknodes have... if necessary to fight any other missbehaving clients. I would be up to this just to kill others.. and not for the profit! For me its more valuable to secure the network than making profit. Besides there is other usefull parties where you can add you GPU power... if for the profit. So let's make it a cause! Fight with the cause! =)

bitcreditd.exe is really being very well accomplished with the new versions... it looks like memory usage is now (under Windows 10) making a buck just for the node that is commonly getting more clients...
Otherwise... the redundant nodes.. use between 5 and 10 MegaBytes of memory! Which is a breakthrough! For me it's just an evidence that this is really viable!
Get your GPU doing some work for something else... and meanwhile make a node! +)

but do not see bid + back or anything like that.? anyway again great work thanks a bunch guys. can go to work without pain.
how is the miner you guys mentioning is not paying bank fee"s or so> gpu cpu miner, older wallet ? why it still is accepted.

Yes, please use the lowest power CPU you can. As I said there's no point throwing more at mining because your BN wont be able to mine consecutive blocks... There doesn't need to be any additional hashrate. The less the better, as long as it's relatively stable and doesn't swing wildly. One attack vector I see is someone running a BN and adding/suntracting large amounts of hashpower, it could screw things up a bit as the momentum algo seems to overdo the diff adjustment, leading to lengthy blocks. You're right, DASH is slightly atypical, but I was vaguely familiar with the numbers so that's what I went with. I'm with you re: cisahasa, no idea if he's making threats or what he wants...

I haven't submitted the pull request for the bid&back page yet as I haven't coded the redeem bit, might submit it anyway just to confirm that the rest works on Win as expected.

I plan to make a public offer to any communities who whose coins lack a dev or, coins that have strong communities but no direction. The offer will be as follows :-
Our bidding process will be expanded with a secondary system that lists all accepted and interested coins, essentially we would encourage them to burn their coins and be allocated new coins on our chain. As it stands we have a 6 000 000 BCR fund that has remained untouched since the very first day , over the months there has never been any real use for it and now that we have moved to backing our coin with assets..it seems an unnecessary item. Rather than burn the coins or use them/sell whatever, i think it's a great opportunity to expand the BCR community while at the same time possibly draining value from other coins and adding it to our own.
We would of course have stringent requirements for a coin to qualify and include as much oversight as we can. I think that the potential increase in community size and subsequent interest in ideas like bidding, BN mining could have some serious benefits for all.
Thoughts ?
very interested,tell me more..

very interested, tell me more.. im so pissed at doing this ... there is some bugs you need to fix before i can ask hxx people if they want to join. 600k total coins.. current value 1750 sats.. i could relelease my hands out of this.. DISCLAIMER: These are my views and they do not represent those of BCR, It is just my personal opinion. No offense but it wouldn't work that way. First, it seems you've been trying to blackmail BCR (among other coins) Second: HXX has no value - It failed on its first days and there was no community formed apart from the few people who were left holding the bag. Third: You don't come to BCR - BCR comes to you and under its conditions not yours. DISCLAIMER: These are my views and they do not represent those of BCR, It is just my personal opinion.

@cisahasa We are not worried about the exploits you mentioned because 1) they did not apply since we had not activated those features, and now that we are 2) we do not use the "spork" feature, rather i am using hard numbers ie blocks.
I would love nothing ore than to bring people together in cooperative effort, but my first loyalty is to those who have been with me for a while as community members and advisers. We always have open discussions in this thread and for most items the community decides. Just because they leave most decision making to me, does not mean they are powerless, they simply trust that i always function in a manner beneficial to the project. For a coin to be applicable in the proposed merger, one of the key items is community support, both the BCR community and the hxx community. Members of the "guest" community should express their interest in merging and we can all assess what each group brings to the table.
the thing about malicious behaviour on the BCR chain is that we have gotten pretty efficient at forking it out, the last fork was rather extended due to my untimely bad health, but for the most part we respond rather effectively to threats against the chain.
@ proletariat you are quite right, as we are an active community with enough ongoing development (current and planned) to last a few years, the decision on what we will host is ultimately ours. The public offer is one meant to increase cooperation and bring many people under a single banner, but not at the expense of existing members. Most of you guys who post here have been long term on this, all weather partners.
Let's give each other a chance and see what we can do if we put ours heads together.
Meanwhile
EVERYONE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING VERSION 0.30.17.2
