looks like theres a chain higher than chainz. anyways ill be available to sync and test windows stuff tomorrow. im going to shut off my node for the night so whatever side gets picked doesnt have to deal with the chain i made by mining it seems. going to bed now.
safe travels dev.

Hi

I need some dedicated network VPS nodes. The network has become disjointed due to dropping off some peers. I need a total of 8 from various areas of the globe. At least 2 in the US, 2 in Europe , 2 in Asia  and 1 in Africa and 1 in Australia. These will become the default seednodes.

Preferably we can either donate nodes or contribute to a fund to get them running.

Donate nodes means ?

Thank You for your tips!

commit permanent nodes to the network.

they will merge. The network has too few public nodes so i am currently starting some high bandwidth vps nodes around the world as well as doing a windows build for testing.

If this issue persists, i may end up re-instatng the one BN per Ip rule as well as removing non-public ip BNs

how was my warning fud??? if you can't put a bunch of different chains together on the network and have the network conform to the best one, then it's not a chain... AND YOU HAVE NO CONSENSUS!!!
bittrex is blocked...
and if you can't sell something, or get ANYTHING of VALUE for it, where is this "real value"?
paying for something doesn't give it value...

you are just sour about us moving away from a mining centered model.

also...there is no network if there are no nodes.

quick look at the block chain says you are doing more harm than good, so what exactly is your goal here?

why would you worry about bittrex?  did you not say that you mine and hold?

The question is, 'what will be the correct bootstrap?'
Now I can see three chains on the run.
258879
258722
and 258714

current bootstraps will no longer work, we now need -txindex on by default so i am syncing from start, it also allows me room to see if fresh sync works.

let's wait and see what happens in the next hour or so after full sync and re-joining of all sides.

the instances i started managed to sync to the longest chain @ 258881.

i can't upload the bootstrap from the vps, if anyone can build the new Master branch, sync and post a bootstrap, we can get this show going.

sync using daemon + vps is ~ 6 hours. i think that after we have completed test runs we can add a option to disable the P2PFDB.

I have 9 different daemons, 7 linux and 2 windows.
More than 2 blocks/second I don't have ... the math is 3600 * 2 = 7200 block/hour
258881 / 7200 = aprox 36 hours ...

and there is no problem of network speed, processor or ram

Thank You for your tips!

I've also noticed that my local node sync is slow even though it has more resources than vps (except network speed)

vps is way faster though, maybe taking adv of faster net connection to faster nodes.

sync speed is also dependent on node providing blocks' speed.

Did you manage to build sqlite for windows? i can send the version i compiled
