BFL - Mini Rig to Single SC question

I paid for a Mini Rig not too long ago (May 2012), would it be possible for customers like me who have paid for a product and waiting in line to be able to downgrade to something that will not be obsolete in 2 months ?

I want to change my order to couple of Single SC's from a Mini Rig. I cannot afford to pay the extra 15K.

I have emailed you twice in the last few weeks and not gotten a response on this issue.

I am in the same situation, also interested to hear an answer. Even at current rates the Mini-Rig has atleast 10 months ROI requirement, by making the exchange deadline at March 2013 they are not giving us that time.

Rest assured, we won't leave our customers behind and we'll make accommodation for this particular circumstance.  I can't give you specifics at the moment but there will be a threshold where pending orders can be converted.  For fastest conclusion, write office@butterflylabs.  If you've already placed an email to that effect via customer service, then it will be responded to in kind once the policy is set come Monday. 

It should also be pointed out that backlog shipments are accelerating dramatically and the relative hashing power of today's generation is excellent.  This may not be relevant to you as you're looking to skip the extra investment to upgrade into SC..  so I understand.  There is a path for you.

If they say no, I'm sure you could sell your minirig for ~5% below trade in value to someone who will front the extra 15k for an upgrade and buy SC Singles with the money.

I cannot place a new order because i do not have extra money, nor the refund from them. By the time i decide to sell my place for the Mini Rig which I haven't received yet, I am at the back of the line. Just unfair either way. BFL needs to give us clear answers, like delivery dates etc. "Accelerated shipping rate" does not mean i will get my Mini Rig on Sep 1 instead of Sep 15th. And the one month does squat in recouping any money. I am shocked on how they have priced their new products, the 40G product should be 15K and not 1K. Simple Demand and Supply.
