The forum strives to allow free discussion of any ideas. All policies are built around this principle. This doesn't mean you can post garbage, though: posts should actually contain ideas, and these ideas should be argued reasonably.

This probably belongs in the Speculation thread, but I'll take a bite...No one knows.
It could go down to $0 it could go to the moon. All I know is it's year 5 going on year 6, and the technology is progressing, growing, and going in the right direction.
Once the masses are aware and start giving BTC a go (think Grandma using Bitcoin like they use Facebook), then we'll probably see a desirable fiat price value compared to what you're seeing now.

I really couldn't agree more with you mate That's the special thing about Bitcoin , we can't know when it goes up or down. all depends on Supply & demand even if there is some Exchangers website Manipulations . I heard that Block reward will be 12.5 BTC instead of 25 BTC on 2016 July . that should rise the price if it's wasen't dead till then of course

One minute I think it will go up high and the next minute I think it will drop down a lot lower. It's a difficult question to answer and I guess there are loads of traders in two minds right now.

The white paper is very much worth reading. Understanding the technology behind the price sheds a lot of insight into BTC's potential for economic disruption and innovation.

It's really sad that lots of newcomers are getting spooked by bears and will be on the wrong side of the pricing when they wakeup at some point and the train has left the track and they weren't prepared. No guts no glory, unfortunately.

higher than 400 being the best option is a bit depressing

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

Yup, people are short sighted and usually think small. If you went 2 years back and asked a bitcoiner, who bought at $10, for his expectations the answer would probably be $20. People seem to have forgotten the price was $600 just 4 months ago, that's twice what we have now and it was stable for months.
