Agreed, I have a bitcoin blackjack site and don't have anytime to promote it. I'm either going to look for a partner or sell it... just not enough hours in the day to do everything.

is your site online? could I see and try it? did You code it? or Johnny? thanks

Hey elm,

Am I right that you wanted to open your own Bitcoin casino? I assume that you haven't it opened yet and that you are still researching your plan?

Lobster (Love to eat it) Smiley

true, Your are absolutely right. and to be frank for me as a non coder it is very difficult to succeed to get my BTC casino online Sad

and even I could bring it online I would have to find an escrow so user will trust to send their coins and get paid. another point the OP needs to think about.

I have a few very good ideas regarding BJ, hold'em poker and slots. that doesnt mean it will succeed a 100% but I am willing to take the financial risk because one needs to take the risk to know if it is a good idea or not.

the main problem with coders is that they know to code but dont know the games and rules. and many (I talked to) dont want to listen to (gambling/casino) experienced people Sad

I dont give up Smiley

I can't imagine that there isn't anyone who can fulfill your requirements. Cheesy Have you tried to hire a freelancer who is experienced with the Crypto / Bitcoin world? I think you can succeed, because only few casino operators wonder about earning the good money. The most just buy the script, install it and hope that there they have luck with their house edge.

Good luck elm!

I dont know what You mean with >freelancer<

yea chances are good to succeed as long as one doesnt open a dice casino. I talked to a few coders and I got the feeling they only want to hear ideas but the the moment they heard my ideas they had no time for coding it. Smiley

not giving up though

cheers

There's a serious glut of dice sites out there, and I can't see why anyone would need a new one without some serious twist to it.  There's also just a limited number of BTC gamblers out there, as even a very popular game like poker currently only sustains one site, SwC.  Of course, there's also the fact that most of those other sites were run by hit and run scammers and/or had atrociously shitty software.

But it's not only a tough market to break into right now, but if you do get anything more than marginal success, you will immediately be targeted with a tsunami of bullshit in the form of DDoS, hacking and general cheating and scamming.

Even if you do get your hands on that script, you have to deal with security updates, patches, software updates etc.

You also need to have a big starting bankroll and make sure that no one cheats on your site and robs you.

It's a hard task and there won't be a tutorial on it. It's literally like starting your own business.

Get a partner!   Smiley

@Dalyb: It's a lot harder to start from a script (despite it feeling easier), especially when you are not familiar with programming in general. Maintaining and modifying it will take time and debugging to do. This is true for a lot of things. It's better to know as much as you can about it from the get-go, and you can deal with these problems easier. Don't expect you can just sit around and watch your site become super awesome. Don't do it when your main goal is to be rich. It doesn't work that way.  Wink

It's not intuitive that it's more complicated to start with a script than program a new software but I understand why it's more complicated because you have to adapt to something you didn't build and look for flaws.

Whoa, I have to agree with you on that one. The competition is tough out there, and you will get hammered, if you the newbie in that scene.

Why not buy a white label from someone else and build on their concept. {Might even be cheaper, than doing this from the start}

A good and reliable dice casino is also nice. The thing is that you need features which other casinos don't have. You need trust that the people invest in casinos bankroll and you need a lot of money for a nice design, promotion, signature campaigns etc.

Hi, does anyone know how can i make site like bitwheel.io ?
I think there is script for it.. can someone make tutorial? :O
Most people who go about creating gambling sites through external help, where a continous support is not guaranteed, tend to be less famous than others.

if one wants to open today  a dice casino I agree on all points you mentioned and most important are new features. but for some new idea of a casino or gambling site IMO think one would not need big promotion or signature campaigns.
regarding trust You are absolutely right that would also be my handicap Sad  (I dont want Investors) but for this problem one would need an accepted escrow from this forum. there could be that a lot of coins will be deposited and players will not trust the OP.
I think I will need to open a thread and ask who would be a well accepted escrow for a gambling site.

I mean you can actually take every escrow to holding the funds. In my opinion you can trust with large amounts John K. or other people in the "Default Trust Network".

thanks for the link. IMO it doesnt matter what I think who could be the best and reliable escrow. IMO it matters what my users/players think, they need to trust him and an OP needs to listen to his customers.

seriously OP, you will most probably get burned. I am a full time programmer and I am not 100% confident I would trust myself to create a gambling page that handles thousands of coins without any fault.

You really have to either have or be an expert in the specialty of security.  The site will be attacked.  It is merely a question of how and when, and you have to be able to deal with new and innovative attacks constantly, based on whatever platform you're using and things you haven't even considered.  Never mind DDoS mitigation and other things that can drive you off your hosting or wipe you out utterly.
In addition, you will need to shell out a lot of money on security and this will just go on increasing as your website becomes more and more popular.
