Can't run more than 14 asic saphires

Cant run more than 14 asic saphires on cgminer! They all run off MB so power is not an issue. Runs fine with 14 but if I plug in one more cgminer stops working! Any1 else had this problem?

try running the others on a separate pc, i do have this issue sometimes with running more than 4 GAW furies, i just use my old laptop to run them

You've got 14+ USB ports on your Mother Board?  Even if you truly did I doubt that it would supply 7 AMP's to the USB Ports, unless it is USB 3.0.

What Operating System are you using?  Windoze XP limited me around 12 or 13 devices.  Where WinVista goes up to 50 and Win7 goes up to 60.

im not much of a help but does the mining with harware its not just spending eletrecity i quitted my GPU in september 2014 cause was more for bill than for porfit meaning i was getting loss just by turning it on

While the Block Erupter Saphires are fairly low powered they consume allot less energy than mining with GPU.  These ASIC's use a little over 2.5 watts each where a GPU and PC is most likely well over 300 Watts.

Using USB Hubs.  I attach one USB 2.0 hub to the computer and then string the USB 3.0 hubs off of that.  I like the Gearmo 10 port hub.

So your motherboard really has 20 ports?  What kind of computer/motherboard is that?  Is it USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports.  Block Erupters require stable .5 amps each to work correctly and the original first run which I believe were the saphires drew a little over .5 Amps.  You don't usually get that for all ports with USB 2.0, but with USB 3.0 .9 Amp per port is part of the spec so those hubs usually have hefty power supplies.  So I would say that your Mother Board isn't really supplying 10+ Amps to the 20 USB ports.

After following os2sam's advice about external powered hubs, if you still have issues look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=300638.0 for advice how to 'clean' your device manager from old unwanted USB settings.
You need to configure your USB hubs in a way that doesn't span too many levels, or Windows will complain.

I used to run 40 BE's on both windows and RPi, sadly now they consume more electricity than generating BTC.
