As of this moment, the average btc transaction is 428:

There's some serious cash moving around.
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Thank you, theymos. I think I'm just dense at times. This was one of them.

Is there a way to find the average btc transaction, or to see the velocity of the current supply of btc?
