Objective
To encourage people to make charitable donations

Commitments
1. £1 donation = 1 Charitycoin
2. This is the only method of coin creation
3. There will be a maximum of 100 million coins

Try it now
Please visit http://charitycoin.co.uk/donate.php and follow our simple process to donate to a charity of your choice and get Charitycoins

Charity Coin exists as an asset called CHARITYCOIN on the Counterparty system, please see https://www.counterparty.co for further information. This system exists on top of the Bitcoin blockchain which ensures it has the security and reliability of the Bitcoin network

BlockScan.com is a block explorer for the counterparty system. Anybody can review the blockchain and determine the number of Charity Coins which have been issued and to whom they were allocated to. One can then verify this this against the list of donations, http://charitycoin.co.uk/list.php to ensure the integrity of the Charitycoin system

Currently we support two third party donation platforms, JustGiving and Virgin Money giving. Both of these platforms enable users to donate to a wide variety of charities and allow users to make public comments alongside their donation. We then read these comments to verify the donation before we issue the coins

Yes, now we have completely redesigned the site.  You can now donate to over 10,000 charities with one simple Bitcoin transaction, as each charity has its own address.  There have been three donations today, please try it out.  Thanks very much for your donations.

Many thanks
