i would like a note, that you can get a more bitcoin by CPU mining LTC and then exchange for BTC, than visiting the faucet sites.

These things are not mutually exclusive you know...  One can do both.    Tongue

Also...

What good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?

For information about the Daily Newbie Lotto see here.

From the New to BitCoin? Start here! sticky in the Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Bitcoin Discussion forum:

Where do I get free bitcoins?        Discussion thread here

If you have a site that gives out free bitcoins, or know of one, then please submit a link to it in that thread,
or this one if you are still on newbie restrictions.  Any input is welcome including a quick "thanks" or "hello".

Thanks

And I suppose I can just list them here below as well:

Be sure to bookmark this page so you don't miss anything new.

Beware of sites/threads which just copy the entries from this official thread and hides the links behind url redirectors,
making them untrustworthy or a spam-filled inconvenience at best. Stick to using the links here.

If you find this list has been helpful to you in getting your first BTC and you appreciate the time put in to verify these
sites, and to compile and maintain this list, please consider a small donation
: 1A2tWrHSnc4eoRJCgcDx8BwPAATmtxMTye

You can use this address in one of your daily checks of these sites for example, or a test of sending BTC after
you have used these sites to test the receiving of BTC. Thank you.
 Smiley

Note: Many of these sites only payout once a day, or even less often, to save on transaction fees,
so don't get too worried if you don't see a payment for several hours. If after more than a day or two you
still don't get anything, or you have any other problems, post in this thread. Some of the operators of these
various sites follow this thread. Also note the * beside some entries and what it means as explained under
the list of entries below.

I have no control of where that link goes to. Paste it into your browser and it will go to the same place. It isn't this thread or this forum.

I am sorry this happened to your domain, but
I didn't get you written up. This forum didn't get you written up.

I will remove your ( or who ever has it now ) site from the list.

A link in the first post changed my accumulated bitcoins from a 0.003 number to 0.0003

Of course their minimum payout is 0.01

This site should have a very large disclaimer beside it.

I haven't had any problems with it.
Discovered it about a little over a week ago, and been getting paid daily.

I have gone to the site at least once a day and waited the 120 seconds.  Today after entering my wallet and code the new screen appeared and my total accumulated was 0.0003xxx bitcoins where before it was 0.003xxxx.  I'm sorry I don't remember the exact number since the screen  that shows the total only appears for a second or two before showing another screen.  Hopefully other members don't have this happen to them and if they do then they'll chime in.
