Do you believe in Moon landing conspiracy theories which claims that some or all elements of the Apollo program and the associated Moon landings were hoaxes staged by NASA with the aid of other organizations to be ahead of russia?

Of course we really went to be moon. The evidence is right there in your post: "to be ahead of Russia". Guess what: Russia did not like the USA being ahead, which is why they were monitoring US space launches very closely. The could see the launches on radar and triangulate the radio signals once they were out of radar range. If there was any evidence at all of fakery, the Russians would have been the first to call bullshit. Yet that has not happened.

I think it happened, the technology that they had would maybe have fooled folks then but would be spotted today easily
Yet to see anyone point out obvious flaws in the images suggesting they came from a film studio

Today, when spacecraft go to other planets in our solar system, and beyond, such question is meaningless.
Yes, of course, Neil Armstrong really went to moon Smiley
Next question is not whether but when a man go to mars!

Yes,we almost certainly went to the moon in 1969. I remember first hearing the conspiracy theories about 20 yrs ago; since then pretty much everything that they are based on has been wholly disproven.

As Foxpup says, the Russians would have been well on the case to check for deception, also the Americans left a range-finding mirror up there which can be detected by laser.

No, I don't believe it. There are plenty of facts and proofs of the moon landing or that we at least went there at some point.

And they also left the lander, a moon rover, a flag, footsteps, etc xD
There is no reason not to believe they went to the moon in 1969, I think.

Such theories are dumb. If the images came from a studio, they could indeed fool people back then but couldn't fool people now.
The imaging has improved so much that we could easily spot elements which would point out that the images are fake.

I guess the majority of people will have to wait for commercial flights.

I think so.  I've also heard that alternative conspiracy view, that it was all faked.  Things like that come about because the government's not very trustworthy.

Well if we found Aliens, had real footage, what do you think would the denial rate be in %?
Probably all 'religious persons' would either deny it, relate it to Satan or whatever.
Humans are stupid. Humanity is ignorant.

Probably <10% people actually deserve to live.

He walked on the moon, as did eleven others.

The latest entry: China's second lunar probe, Chang'e 2, which was launched in 2010 claims to have spotted traces of the Apollo landings.

Many times ignorance comes from people living in poverty and not having had the chance to have an education.
It's not as easy as saying most humans are stupid and deserve to die. : /

Well since this is usually associated with the term 'stupid Americans' (obviously not all of them, but many examples can be found; no offence to anyone)..Do they not have access to (good) education?
Where I got my own education is a pretty bad place. Focused on history which is useless to me. So it doesn't necessarily come from that.
All one needs is internet to start expanding his views outside of his local community.

I've never even considered doubting the moon landing.

Seems we get one of these threads every once in awhile. Pretty sure this is at least the third but the last one had more in depth discussion.

I know I bash Americans a lot ( Partly because it's just so funny seeing them riled Tongue ) but there are all kinds of adults who, honestly are quite often religious, that take this amazing pride in being stupid and wrong about something, it doesn't matter how completely wrong their belief is despite the amount of evidence piled up against them they somehow seem to think that it makes them look good to act like complete morons.

The only reason people point out the Americans a lot is because they're the ones who do a great job of being an example of this kind of behaviour.

. They believe the bible is literally true despite the evidence against them

. They think homosexuals are evil or there is something mentally wrong with them to be that way

. They think vaccinations cause brain damage

. They deny global warming exists

You get all kinds of stupid though from different countries, like I said, it's just Americans tend to exaggerate this stupidity to the extremes, the only other country I know that practices this kind of thing on such a massive scale is maybe Russia.

What are you talking about. The summer wasn't hot at all, therefore global warming doesn't exist.  Roll Eyes Cheesy

Yes of course he did.

Such theories of the moon landing being faked are thought up by some really dumb people (often Americans in their own country) to stir something up..

Like I said, they actually take pride in believing this bullshit, but there you go, stupid people will be stupid, in a way they are actually living proof of evolution because they don't use their brains as much as other human beings do and refuse to adapt.
